Back in March (yeah, I know I’m slow) I was contacted by Nature Box and offered the opportunity to try one of their monthly deliveries. I’m never one to turn down free food, especially healthy snacks, so of course I said yes!
So, what exactly is NatureBox?
I received the March delivery.
On the whole, the foods were yummy. None of us like fig bars, so these didn’t float our boat, but Shoo and I nearly fought it out over the Firecrackers. The cherries made for a few days of the most awesome oatmeal ever.
All in all, it was pretty awesome (and the April box looks even better).
The question of the day, of course, is “would I buy a box?” Yes. The quality was excellent. The snacks were good. The price (if you use the coupon code for one month “HEALTHY” or buy multiple months) is decent. The company itself is one I can totally get behind. I love that they are striving to make healthy snacks available, especially since not everyone can walk to Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s like I can. I love that they donate meals for every box sold. I found my workings with their staff to be some of the best interactions I’ve ever had with a company. So, yeah, I’d recommend them without hesitation.
I have only one real issue. I have a child with a mild peanut allergy. All of the products were marked with a produced in a facility that manufactures nut products type of warning. While I can be a little bit lax (Jones gets stomach aches rather than an anaphalactic response), I do try to avoid those things to the extent possible. I did see mention somewhere that they are hoping to have some nut free options in the future, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed for that!
