What I learned at yesterday’s race

by MCM Mama on July 15, 2012

1.  I don’t like running on packed dirt.

2. I will never be a trail runner.

3.  Starting too fast is stupid. stupid. and did I mention? stupid.

4. Apparently I’ll run any race in exchange for a medal, a beer, and a brownie.

Trail running really is different and I find that if I do go trail running I have to have a different mindset. You have to really pay attention and it only takes one time to trip over a root to give you a different prospective!! Erica

Trails do get some getting used to if you are a regular road runner. the too fast holds true in any terrain! Nice job getting out of your comfort zone….even if it was for a beer, brownie and bling!

Nothing wrong with being a medal-whore. If there is I’m in trouble.

Well, those are some good lessons to learn about oneself. Was the brownie any good?
