Three Things Thursday

1.  Look what I won!  Barefoot Angie B did a giveaway and I got lucky!  Jones has already claimed it as his own.  Now I just need to set it up.

2.  Beer Geek woke up this morning to a sewer issue in the basement.  Guess what I get to deal with today instead of going shopping.  Yeah, lucky me.  Definitely one of those days when I wish I was the person with the “pays the bills” job, so I could have someone else handle it.  Fortunately (unfortunately?), there’s not a whole lot I can do beyond calling a plumber and writing a check.

This week’s Thirsty Thursday is my first negative review.

I love nutty beers, so I was super excited to see the Abita Pecan Harvest Ale.  I was imagining something that would taste a bit like pecan pie.  I was sorely disappointed.  It wasn’t a bad beer, I just thought it was bland and it did not live up to it’s name.  Now I have five more that I’ll be pawning off on guests.  Anyone want to come over? ;o)

Just so I don’t end this post on a completely negative note, I had a lovely run yesterday.  The weather was cool and sunny and I only had minor aches and pains.  Yay!

Totally unrelated to anything…  Anyone got tips on taking care of a gecko?  Jones is getting one for his birthday and it may be joining us as early as Saturday.
