So, I grabbed a fruit leather and some nuts. But really, I wanted chocolate.
So, I had a few chocolate chips. And that was just the beginning.
When I got done, this…
Once again proving two rules *I* live by:
1) Everything in moderation – including diet changes. I needed to cut sugar. I’m not going to deny that. But, I have no reason to believe I have issues with whole grains, beans, or dairy. I’m not saying that I wouldn’t benefit from cutting them out (or at least decreasing the amount), I’m just saying that nothing about my eating or how my body was feeling suggested I needed to jump into the Paleo diet with both feet. I will continue to take baby steps in that direction, but I’m planning to save any drastic changes for after the five half marathons. And really, will they be drastic changes if I’ve slowly weaned myself off certain foods?
2) Don’t keep chocolate in the house. Period.
