ZIPS Dry Cleaners compensated me for this post and provided the giveaway. All opinions are my own.
Spring has definitely sprung in Virginia. The weather is getting warmer and the days are getting sunnier (and everything is covered in pollen.) At this time of year I get two urges: clean my house and run every single day. One cannot resist the days when it’s comfortable to run in a skirt and tank, but not be dying from the heat and humidity.
It’s also the time when I need to clean out the closets, match up the gloves, and dry clean the winter jackets. Since I was recently given the opportunity to try out ZIPS Dry Cleaners, I took the time to grab Beer Geek’s work jacket, a few suits, and a bunch of shirts that needed washing. (I may be a “housewife”, but I don’t wash his shirts or iron them. I’d rather be running…) I dropped them off mid-morning and was pleasantly surprised at the price (less than $30 for everything) and the speed (ready the next day). In fact, if I’d had my act together, I could have taken advantage of ZIPS in by 9, out by 5 promise. But I wasn’t that organized.
When I picked up the items, everything looked great. They even buttoned the liner back into Beer Geek’s jacket! Usually the two pieces are put on separate hangers and Beer Geek has to button it back in the first cold day each winter LOL. I managed to drop off his jacket without checking the pockets, so I thought I’d lost his nice leather gloves. Amazingly when I checked back the next day, they had them and I was able to pick them up!
I’ll confess that I’d rather be running than just about any housekeeping chore, so I love that it was easy, convenient and cheap to use ZIPS Dry Cleaners. Beer Geek has been wearing suits a lot more lately (our adventures in buying several new suits could be a whole other blog post…), so I’m having to add dry cleaning to my weekly chores. It certainly won’t hurt that my closest ZIPS is right next to my favorite grocery store. ZIPS also happens to be a local chain who gives back to the community, so it’s win/win all around.
Need to do some spring cleaning? ZIPS has offered up $50 each in dry cleaning services for two of my lucky readers. Check out their locations here to see which location is nearest to you.
