Last week, Sue from This Mama Runs for Cupcakes and I hosted a ZOOMA fun run, presentation and swag giveaway for some of the local Moms Run This Town chapters.
We scheduled a mid-morning weekday run and the weather was sunny and lovely, so quite a few moms brought their running strollers. We started at a local trail and since it was an out an back, runners and walkers were able to choose their own distance and speed. I, for one, decided to do a 3 mile run with the middle mile at my tempo pace of 9:00 m/m. Success!
Everyone got to leave with a little goody bag from ZOOMA as well as had the chance to try some Muscle Milk and Cytomax from two of the race sponsors!
It was a ton of fun and I think we may have even convinced a few of the “fence sitters” to join us at ZOOMA Annapolis.

And now for What I Ate Wednesday!
OK, maybe I’ve eaten stuff besides chocolate, but it’s been one of those weeks where chocolate has been the most eaten of the food groups. Ahem.
Here are some other yummy things I’ve eaten:
Breakfast: I’ve really been digging omelets lately. I use whatever veggies we have in the house + a bit of cheese and two eggs. Of course the one I wanted to take a picture of failed from a presentation standpoint. Oh, well, it still tasted good.
Lunch: I’m still working on the huge thing of salad from Costco. I love how the lettuce that I buy there stays fresh longer than the stuff from the grocery store. I can barely finish the small containers before the grocery store stuff goes bad.
Dinner: Ham and bean soup. I’m more than a little crabby that it’s still soup weather (hello, 50* and rainy), but I do love soup made from a ham bone. Good thing we bought one for Easter…
