101 miles run in July = my highest number ever in a month
40 pushups = the number of pushups I did yesterday as part of the challenge. Real pushups even, but I did have the 90 second breaks in between.
13 days until we head back to my parents = breaks for me and going running with dad will surely improve my mental state
10 hours = the number of hours that Shoo slept last night IN A ROW, so I’m not exhausted today.
Tomorow I need to run 14 miles. That’s my longest run EVER. And it’s going to be hot. The plan is to take an extra bottle full of water and plan to run past a water fountain. I’m also planning to run very slowly for at least the first 10 miles.
When I get back from my parents house at the end of August, my miles will start seriously increasing, just in time for our social life to really pick up. Seriously, fall is the busiest time of year for us and I ask myself once again why I chose a fall marathon.
Here’s what my running/social calendar looks like:
August 30 – 18 miles; beer festival that afternoon
September 6 -13 miles; free so far
September 13 – 19 miles; our 2oth annual end of the summer party – hosted by us with usually around 50-60 guests
September 20 – 12 miles; Beer Geek’s brother’s wedding in South Carolina
September 27 – should be 20 miles, but more like 12-15; Demolition Derby (I added a week because I didn’t think I’d be up for hanging out in the sun after 20 miles of running)
October 4th – 20 miles; Oktoberfest/beer festival (last year this was the Saturday before the Army 10 miler, so I didn’t get to enjoy it much)
October 11 – 12 miles; Jones’ birthday party
October 18 – 8 miles; Beer Geek’s brother’s local wedding reception
October 25th – I’m doing NOTHING that day
October 26th – Marine Corps Marathon
I think I’ll just sleep through November LOL.

wow!! thankfully my calendar in august and september when my mileage (long runs) will be the highest is not going to be impacted by socializing. I just dont have it in me!!!
my run tomorrow is 13 thankfully, and with the LOW tonight/tomorrow morning at EIGHTY…well its not going be pretty!!
good luck!!!
Wow, 101 miles! That’s awesome.
