And, no, I don’t mean my son’s gecko. (Yes, his name is Epic.)
You already know about my crazy five marathons in five days. (And if you don’t, you’ve obviously never been here before…)
Wanna know what I did yesterday?
I walked around Washington Harbour. Why is this a big deal?
I was working with the group who is planning the Nike Women’s Marathon Half Expotique.
That’s right. I’m on the Pacers Race Management team that will be running the packet pickup. Yes, this does mean I’ll practically live at the Harbour for the race weekend. No, I don’t know any secrets nor do I have any free entries. (I’m not in any way involved with the registration or any of the big decisions. ) My role is to make sure that all the runners get their bibs as efficiently and happily as possible. Whoa! (Guess this means you know who to complain to if you have issues. Hmm…)
Yeah, 2013 is looking like a pretty awesome year so far!

So exciting! Good for you!
Hey–when is this race, btw? A half marathon or full? Lucky you to be in on the ground floor–fun!
Woohoo, it does sound like 2013 is going to be an epic year!
How exciting! Good Luck!
I can not believe this half is on 4/28, the same weekend as Eugene.
So, do a good job so that they hire you back in 2014, so I can come.
We’re sending our TNT team there! I’m sure Packet pickup will be as smooth as ………….. HA
Wow! That’s a big event to be invovled with. Really exciting!! congrats.
I think you secretly love being busy. That’s great that you’re helping out. I’ll bet you do an amazingly efficient job.
I love being involved like that sometimes. Awesome!
That sounds awesome!
