Yesterday I hit 503 miles for the year. Thanks to the marathon training, I should manage 1000 total this year.
Since all the “cool kids” are doing it, I’ve been doing the 100 pushups work out. (Want some variety in your pushups? Check out all these versions!) I just finished week 2 and was only able to do 10 pushups (yeah, upper body strength, not so much). So today I did day 1 of week 2 again, but at the second level. I think that I’m going to be hurting tomorrow.
And, because Marcy thinks it’s a cool idea LOL, I’m thinking of doing Quadrathon‘s weight loss challenge. I don’t have a lot to lose, maybe 5-8 pounds, but I’ve found that as my running has increased, my eating is getting out of control. I may not win any of the cool swag, but if the challenge keeps me on track and I don’t gain weight, I’ll be a happy camper.
Oh, and this weekend, while hanging out and drinking with a bunch of our college friends, I found my next challenge: trail running. One of the other women there has done a bunch and just signed up for a half marathon trail run. The series that she (and another woman I know) have done is this one. I can’t do the first one because it’s the week before the MCM and I won’t want to risk hurting myself, but I’m thinking about signing up for the second one. I’m thinking I’ll do the 5 mile the first time and see how that goes before I move up to 10 miles. Beer Geek thinks I’m crazy.
Alright!! Ugghh I’ve been having such a hard time with Week 3, I don’t even know how I’m going to manage LOL
I kinda fell off the wagon with the push up challenge, so I have to get back to it this week.
Nice job on the 500 miles! 1000 for the year is totally within your reach!
