I’m in a better mental place this morning. Beer Geek walked Jones to school, while I went out for a not so quick 4 mile run. The radar lied and I got totally soaked while running and Shoo and Beer Geek got soaked walking home. At least it was nearly 60 degrees this morning.
We are nearly packed and ready to go. I had a minor panic this morning when I couldn’t find Shoo’s crocs. He had them yesterday and took them off in a random place. I finally remembered that the last time I’d seen them, he’d been in my room standing on my out of season shoe storage box while he attempted to climb the shoe rack on my closet door (yes, he was a bit of a challenge yesterday.) Sure enough, the shoes were in the storage box.
Now I need to hop in the shower and finish packing, but we are in the middle of a thunderstorm (don’t worry, I’m running on battery), so showering is not an option at the moment. Thanks for all your kind words yesterday. It’s funny how even when you know something is on the horizon, it still surprises you when the timeline shortens.
Assuming the flights don’t get screwed up, by this evening I’ll be in a warmer place. Possibly drinking a beer, although, if I can’t find a “good” one, it’ll be a fruity drink vacation. If I get internet access while out there, I’ll post a pic or two along the way.
Run safe my friends. See you later.
Have a safe trip and I hope to see you next weekend!
oooooh a fruity drink. I like pina coladas best when I’m somewhere warm. Never have them at home.Chin up! And have a good trip. 🙂
Have a good trip!
You got our storms from last night. They were wicked! Hope all goes well in finale prep for vacay. Enjoy. You surely deserve it!Hey–in planning your races in 2010, think about Nashville in April. I'm considering doing the CMM. They have a half & a full. I really want to do the full–probably my first & last!–to celebrate my 40th bday. Would love to have some blogger peeps join me. Just a thought!
I am very impressed at your Crocs detective work. And also glad you didn’t get stuck in the thunderstorm while running. Safe travels.
Have a wonderful time 🙂
Ian’s crocs and his other shoes end up all over the house. It’s even more frustrating when you find ONE but the other stays MIA for days on end. This is A Typical Parent’s lament, though, isn’t it?
I am just now catchin up with you. I am so sorry to hear about your friend. ((hugs)).My oldest lost one of his crocs and I was trying to teach him a lesson in find his own things. Didn’t work. He put on one sneaker and one croc. Wearing 2 different shoes did not bother him at all. (the other sneak was missing too.)Enjoy your trip! I am jealous of the blogger meet up.
Have safe travels and a great trip!
Lucky!
Hope you enjoy are enjoying your trip!
Hope you found some good beer!!
Have a Guh-REAT time!
