Best Body Bootcamp Review

Best Body Online Personal Training

OK, I went to Best Body Bootcamp…

And it was awesome!

I have not consistently done strength training since before Jones was born.  That’s almost 12 years!  So, this was a necessary addition to my fitness plan.  I’m 42 – I need to preserve every bit of muscle I have!

So, what is Best Body Bootcamp? According to the website. it is

A fun and flexible 8 week workout challenge full of community support and new workouts. You will never get the same thing twice! A completely flexible plan to fit YOUR training likes, goals, schedule, etc. Can be done at home or at the gym.

It was all that and more.

Each week we had three weight workouts and two suggested cardio workouts that could be repeated. Tina arranges it in 2 week phases, so you do the same workouts two weeks in a row, with minor tweaks the second week.  For every exercise, there are suggested ways to make it easier or harder or, if it’s a machine exercise, how to get a similar move at home.  I did all of my exercises at home with three different weights of handweights (5,7, 10) and felt like I got an amazing workout every.single.time.

I only did her prescribed cardio workouts once or twice a week.  Since I only had running as my cardio option, I wasn’t comfortable running hard four times a week.

So, I know what you really care about is results.  Did it work?  Was it worth the money?

Absolutely. Without a doubt. Worth every penny and then some.

Results in inches lost:

Waist: 1.75 inches
Hips: 2 inches
Butt: 2 inches
Thigh: 1 inch (sigh)
Bicep: .5 inch

I actually gained 1.5 pounds, but whatever, my pants fit better…

I also saw increases in my plank time, my number of pushups in a row, and my wall sit.  All good!

Next Bootcamp starts on June 17th.  I can’t wait!  I’ll be re-doing a few of the previous session’s workouts while I wait.  Wonder what kind of improvement I’ll see if I actually get my eating under control?

Disclaimer: I paid for this myself and I’m paying for it again.  Just thought I should share my experience.  Apparently if I need to do more than 5 burpees, I need someone to tell me to do it…

Sounds like you found something that really works for you and sounds like fun at the same time. Congrats on the improvements! Don’t pay attention to the weight, that’s muscle you gained that weighs more than fat. You’re getting more lean, way to go woman! And for the record, I will 100% admit that if you want me to do ANY burpees, someone needs to be yelling at me to do it. End of story.

Wow – congratulations ! That looks awesome !

I finally started adding weights again … it’s been a while and it sucks starting over — I’m in so much pain today.

I’d love to do something like that !

Sounds awesome. I love classes like that because they push me much harder than I do on my own.

You got some great results there. And you’re right – the weight gain means nothing if your clothes fit better.

Those are AMAZING results! Wow! A lot of inches and extra strength. Betting the 1.5 pounds is hard earned muscle. You’re awesome and thanks so much for sharing it with others. 🙂
