Welcome to the weekly edition of Tuesdays on the Run. Today’s topic is discount codes and Black Friday deals. Lots of stuff running around the internet right now, so definitely do your research before you buy.
Wanna know what I’m planning to buy on Black Friday? Nothing. Seriously I don’t need a single piece of running gear, any household items, or any electronics. If I were going to buy anything, where would I head first? Patagonia. There donation plan for Black Friday is pretty rockin’ awesome.
Anyways, I don’t plan to step foot in any stores (and I don’t plan to “cheat” by online shopping), but I can’t promise I won’t register for a race if one pops onto my radar. So far though, I have yet to see any deals other than this one for Spartan (and I’m not even going to pretend that I’d run an OCR.)
But here are a few of the things I’ve seen floating around (some links are affiliate links):
You can’t use any discount codes on the sale items, but you can use MCM2o on to get 20% off on skirts and other items that are NOT on sale.
Looks like Fitbit has some nice sales starting on Thursday, November 24.
Need a new Garmin? Looks like Amazon has a few different ones, including the Fenix 3 on sale already. I don’t actually know if those are a great deal or not as I’m not currently in need of a new Garmin.
I’ve also heard that the code “BLK FRI FASHION 20%” is working on Amazon on running shoes. Not sure of the limits or how long it will last or what brands, but it’s worth a try…
And if you want to join me over on Ebates (my referral link), you can get cash back just by shopping online like you normally would. I’ve been using it for YEARS and love getting my check each quarter.
If I see any other good deals out there, you know I’ll add them here. And if you see an amazing deal on a half marathon, please leave me a comment. My 2017 calendar is looking a little light.

I may look into getting my husband a new Fitbit so thanks for sharing!
I don’t plan on shopping on Black Friday either!
I don’t think I’ve ever gone out shopping in Black Friday madness. I’m going to keep it that way.
I don’t think I’m going to do any shopping either on Friday. I’ve started getting holiday gifts, but won’t look on Friday. That’s going to be my day to relax and decorate.
Thanks for the tips! I’m so in denial that it’s time for Black Friday…I’m still in my marathon fog right now!
There was a time when I would be out shopping Black Friday deals super early. Now? I go online and get just about the same deals in my jammies.
I did order a few items from Skirt Sports because a chica can never have enough Happy Girl running skirts!
I’ll definitely be trying out that Amazon code! Thanks!
I have no plans on purchasing anything on Friday. Or this weekend. I stay far, far away from retail and I’ll be home with the fam and not shopping online. 🙂
I’ve found that half my Black Friday purchases are not really gifts for other people, but stuff I’d been waiting to go on sale. I’m also of the theory that if the lines are too long, it’s time to head home!
I love all the bargains in your link up!
I have birthday money from Athleta that needs to be used, so I might hit up their store in Georgetown. Or, I might go for a bike ride instead. I have been known to do on-line shopping on Thanksgiving, while the pies are baking ….
