The biggest problem with yesterday’s beer-o-rama was the beer munchies that came afterwards. Despite eating a relatively large lunch, I spent the afternoon munching on pretty much everything in sight. I wasn’t overly worried about it as I scaled back dinner and figured I’d run it off doing intervals today.
Unfortunately, sometimes being a mom comes first. About 10:30 last night, Shoo unloaded the contents of his stomach. He then continued to wake up every 20 minutes for the entire night until he was completely empty and dry heaving. I had gone to bed literally five minutes before he started getting sick, so I got zero sleep last night. He dozed off between each attack, but I lay awake and wondered when the next one would be. He had a rough day today, much of which he spent in my arms. Thankfully, he seems to be starting to improve now.
I did get a short run in on the treadmill – 3.5 miles at a 9:30 pace. I would have liked to continue, but Beer Geek needed to pick up Jones from his friend’s house and Shoo needed my company. Not a lot got accomplished around here today (except way too many loads of laundry), so hopefully we’ll be back to normal tomorrow rather than having the next person sick…
hope the little guy gets well soon and nobody else gets sick!
So sorry to hear about the unloading. I hope Shoo gets over this quick!
oh no… i hope Shoo feels better soon, and the rest of the family stay healthy!
Hope your little guy feels better soon!
Yuck – I hate just sitting there waiting for the next round of puking to begin. Hopefully Shoo feels better soon and everyone else stays healthy!
Poor little guy. That’s no fun but at least it’s over relatively fast. I’m surprised you got on the treadmill at all after being awake all night. I hope Shoo feels all better soon and no one else gets it!
Man it seems like every other blog I’ve been reading either is sick or has a sick kiddo. Poor thing. I hope the kiddo feels better soon and you get the rest you need!
Aww! Hope Shoo recovers soon! Seems everyone is getting this!Unfortunately, sometimes being a mom comes first.Meaning it comes before running, not before beer, right? Because you were doing SOOOO well and I would consider that a major backslide if you started saying other things were more important than beer.Note, I said “backslide” not “backside”. Because my word verification here is “tushi”.Are you coming on to me, MCM Mama? Because you should at least offer me a beer before you start making comments about my @$$. (After a couple free beers, I become a regular harlot though – anything goes, basically.)Seriously, I hope the little one feels better really soon!
Aww, I hope he feels better soon and that the rest of the family stays healthy.
