75 years ago, prohibition ended. To celebrate, I bought 5 six packs of beer and went out to dinner at a brew pub. Fitting, no?
I did 3.5 of the most boring miles ever on the treadmill. I tried to do it really slowly, since I’m running a race in the morning, but I was so bored I had to go fast. I only have 68 miles left to go, but I may die of boredom before the 1000 miles are done. At least tomorrow will be outdoors. Very cold, but not boring. It should be an interesting experience as I’m supposed to let the girl I’m running with set the pace. More on that tomorrow.
I continued my Christmas to do list today, but at least today Shoo and I were able to do most of it on foot. When we returned from our morning walk (that included a stop for hot chocolate and gelato), the stroller contained two six packs of beer, a present for a friend from Eastern Mountain Sports, and a ton of small gifts from the Container Store.
Now, I must head to bed to prepare for the very cold race tomorrow morning. At least it will knock out a few more miles, without having to use the treadmill.
good luck tomorrow! 🙂
best wishes at the race.i can empathise with treadmill miles being B-O-R-I-N-G
Hope your race went well this morning! Can’t wait to read more about that.
Good luck. I know what you mean about the boredom of the treadmill versus the cold outside. Now if we just didn’t have 8 inches of snow on the ground besides, it might make it easier making a decision. Hope the race went well.
Looking forward to your race report!
Good luck!
