I can’t believe it’s September already. In some ways, it feels like it’s been years since life was “normal”, but in others, it feels like the year is just flying by! I also can’t believe I haven’t posted since the last time we had coffee. Gone are the days when I posted 5 days a week. I’m hoping to get back into a rhythm of posting once a week, but we’ll see if that actually happens. Anyways, I’m raising a coffee cup with Deb and Coco to kick off September.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m super thankful that the run across Tennessee is over and that I decided to do a multi-sport team for the Circumpolar Race Around the World (CRAW). I moved my exercise bike into our living room because the kid now has my workout room (more on that below). My hip is thanking me for cross training.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that Jones’ college decided to only allow a small percentage to move into the dorms, so he’s schooling from home this semester. We have moved almost all of my stuff out of the workout room to make it an office for him. He is handling all of this like a champ, but I confess that I’m mourning both his loss of a freshman year and my loss of “my space.”

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that ZOOMA bought Skirt Sports. I’m so excited as I was sad that SS was going away. (Although I need a new skirt as much as I need a hole in my head…) Rumor has it that there will be a small new collection this fall. Stay tuned for more news on that.

Speaking of ZOOMA, I am “race directing” my first virtual race in a couple of weeks. Both our Cape Cod and our Amelia Island race were forced to go virtual. We created a really cool challenge for it, so if you are looking for amazing medals and swag and a really fun time, join me! (Only a few spots remain!)
Thanks for joining me for coffee. I have a lot of balls in the air right now and one more kid to get started in virtual school, but I miss chatting with all my online friends. Here’s hoping we all have an awesome September!
I think it’s really great that Zooma bought skirt sports. I purchased my first skirt at my first Zooma race that was also my first half marathon. Bummer about your son and also about losing your gym space. Hope your hip feels better. Thanks for linking for coffee
5 days a week is a feat!! I don’t think I ever managed to get to that, but I definitely took a huge unintentional break last year and am getting back into it at least with a [virtual, haha] travel post once a week. I am suuuper sad that I missed the huge sales Skirt Sports was having before ZOOMA bought it! 🙁 Looking forward to seeing the new collection though!
So looking forward to Amelia Island and the future of Skirt. Newbie ish to both, but do enjoy them. Best of luck with CRAW and your son’s first year
You may have all the coffee!
