So far, I’m doing really well with HBBC this year. It doesn’t hurt that I’m in “ramp up the miles” mode for my 5 halves in 5 days training.
This week so far, I’ve run 23.9 miles, walked 5 miles, done a one hour yoga class, done a tad bit of weight work, and eaten 7 veggies and fruits most days. I plan to run around 5 miles today as well.
Here are my stats:
HBBC today – Planning to run 5+ miles, do an upper body workout, and eat my 7 “freggies”
HBBC so far this week – 43.3
Saturday = 6.3 (4.3 miles on the treadmill + veggies + comment on FB)
Friday = 2.5 ( This was a rest day so I only did a 1.5 mile walk + veggies)
Thursday = 6 (4 mile walk at the Turkey Trot + 2 for my family doing it with me)
Wednesday = 5.5 (4.5 mile run + veggies)
Tuesday = 12 (6 mile run + 1 hour hot yoga + veggies + 1 mile walk + comment on FB and yes, I was falling asleep in my dinner)
Monday = 11 (9 mile run + veggies + comment on FB)
This week’s goal is to really pay attention to what I eat. I’ve packed on a few pounds thanks to Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the hunger that comes with increasing my mileage. I need to stop the “eat all the things” attitude. Just because I’m running a lot, I don’t need to eat like a Sumo wrestler.
Don’t forget to comment on my Black Friday giveaway post! It ends tonight at midnight!
Have you seen a sumo wrestler? I have. You don’t have anything to worry about LOL
Looks like you got some great workouts in!
As long as you don’t start dressing like a Sumo wrestler as well. A mawashi would be way too cold to run in heading into winter.
What and when is your 5 halves in 5 days? That sounds insane!!!
You had a great week, congrats! I really want to try Hot Yoga, I hear a lot about it, but have not yet tried it! I hope you have a great week this week coming up!
Great start to HBBC! I also tend to say, oh, I ran x man miles, I deserve food! I need to reign that in. Have a great week!
I totally know what you mean about the eating – I need to pay more attention to that this week as well. I’ve been off-track because of the holidays and traveling. And getting those 5-7 servings of fruits and veggies in is harder than I thought it would be! Great start to HBBC!
5 halves in 5 days? How did I miss that? Wow!
Ah yes, running = eat all the things. I’m hoping this HBBC focus on fruits/veggies helps shut up the rungry 🙂
Great job this week!
5 halfs/5 days! wow! Great job this week!
You are off to a great start with HBBC! I wanted to do the five half marathons in five days but when I suggested it to Allan he didn’t take two seconds to remind me I need to get through with my first marathon first and then see what I want to do after that. I still think I want to do 5 halves in 5 days but I’ll wait.
