I received the July Fit Snack box free of charge. Links below are affiliate links, which means if you buy through them, I might earn another box of their selection of healthy snacks.
I am always on the search for healthy snacks for the kids and myself. I am a small meal/small snack person. I feel my best when I have healthy snacks between lunch and dinner and in the early evening. We eat dinner at 5:45 most days, so not eating between then and 11pm or later is just not an option. I’ve gotten a few boxes of Fit Snack now and I’ve been pleased every time, so I’m happy to be one of their ambassadors.
What is a Fit Snack box?
Fit Snack box is a monthly subscription box that offers you 7-10 items each month to try out. Each item fits into two or more of the following categories: GMO Free, high in protein, low in sugar, gluten free, organic, raw, vegan and all natural. Fit Snack carefully curates each box to make sure products are high quality and fit their standards. In addition to the samples, the box includes a card with information about each product (and discount codes for many). On the back of the card, there is a monthly workout as well. In addition to providing subscribers with a yummy box full of healthy snacks, Fit Snack donates a free meal to @FeedingAmerica with each box purchased.
I opened this month’s box and felt like someone had been peaking into my brain. The products were all things I would like to try. And, with the exception of one item, they were all quite tasty.
Here are this month’s healthy snacks:
Columbia County Flax Granola – I love granola. It’s one of my favorite snacks. I actually have to be careful because I could easily eat an entire package in one sitting. This granola is a bit different as it is oatmeal free! I like the taste, but I’m saving most of it for Jones as it is also nut free and I’m always thrilled when I find nut free options that taste good.
Skinny Pop Popcorn – I love Skinny Pop. I buy this as a snack on a somewhat regular basis, so this was not something new for me. I still enjoyed it and it’s GMO, gluten, and preservative free.
Level Life Protein Bars – I was excited to receive these. I love the idea of protein bars, but I haven’t found many that I like. They sent me Doubley Chocolate Chip to try. Who can say no to chocolate??? I really enjoyed the taste of these, but was a little disappointed that they contained sucralose. I try to avoid artificial sweeteners, so these won’t be an every day thing. But if you don’t mind sucralose or need to avoid sugar, these have 12 grams of protein, are low glycemic, and gluten free.
Honey Stinger Energy Chews – I’ve had Honey Stinger Energy Chews in the past, but this flavor is new to me. I like that Honey Stinger chews are organic and gluten free. I haven’t had a chance to try these yet – I’ve only run 14 miles as my longest run so far and didn’t use any fuel. I have 15 coming up next week, so I will likely try these then. I know I’ve had no stomach issues from these in the past, so hopefully this will hold true again.
Trophy Nut Roasted Peanuts – I didn’t get to try these. Beer Geek loves roasted peanuts and grabbed them for a snack. He said they tasted good, which is about as descriptive as he’s going to get about food.
Justin’s Nut Butter – We always have a jar of this in the house. I love to get these little packages as I take them along on trips. I have a little stockpile of them for my trip to Center of the Nation in a few weeks.
Yummari Endurance Bites – I’m sad to say that I didn’t like the taste of this at all. The ingredients are all awesome: chia seeds, hemp seeds, coconut, etc., so I thought I’d love it, but, umm, no. I go sent the coconut flavor so perhaps I’d like the coffee flavor or chocolate flavors better, but I’m not sure I’m even willing to try. Ah, well, that’s the beauty of these sampler boxes: I got to try it without having to buy a whole box.
Once again, the Fit Snack box gave me some great things to try. I love getting sent small samples of items that I might not otherwise try. All the pleasure with none of the commitment!

Have you tried a subscription box? What’s your favorite type? What are your favorite healthy snacks?
Disclaimer: I got to try a free box. All opinions are my own.
I’m not a big snacker, but these boxes look fun and you get to try a lot of things you might not otherwise want to!
I’m the queen of snacking. I eat small amounts many times a day.
I keep wanting to try a snack subscription box. You got some great stuff in this one!
It’s a fun one. I keep hoping they’ll run a discount code to share…
I’ve not heard of this particular box but it look like it’s filled with some winners.
I’ve been pleased with it. I don’t love everything every month, but I usually at least like most things.
The Skinny Pop popcorn has caught my eye a couple of times at the store, but I have yet to buy it. I might need to change that.
Skinny Pop is addictive. Just so you know. ;o)
I love the idea of these things but the darned shipping costs are so much! Good luck to your entrants!
Ugh, it’s bad here, but I know Canada is even more expensive.
Yum. What a great box. I love honey stingers for my long run fuel. 🙂
I need to experiment more with fueling. It’s been a long time since I ran a full marathon and needed to carry my own fuel for the race. My last 3 marathons have been super supported with tons of food options.
One of my co-workers gets this snack box delivered right to her desk and she loves it! I had no idea they donated a meal, that’s an extra awesome perk.
Fun! What a nice thing to get at work!
Everything looks really awesome. I’m a big fan of Justin’s and Skinny Pop!
Justin’s and Skinny Pop are yummy. That is all.
I don’t do sucralose at all.
Love skinny pop, justins. I don’t subscribe to any boxes, although it’s oh-so-tempting. Since I don’t work I have to be careful about the spending. Except when it comes to workout clothes, obviously.
With the Fit Snack, I feel like they are worth what they cost, but yeah, as much as I love the idea of boxes, for most I can’t justify the money.
Im such a sucker for ALL ALL ALL THINGS MONTHLY BOX.
it’s an addiction.
I know. I just love getting boxes in the mail.
These are some of my favorite snacks! The skinny pop is so addicting!
Love the Skinny Pop. I love popcorn in general, so healthy popcorn makes me happy.
Looks like you got lots of goodies! I would be so excited to see the Honey Stingers in my box!
Yes, they make good fuel. I keep meaning to try the waffles…
These look like some great snacks – especially for people who have a hard time quitting after they start snacking. I’m an RD so this is a GTK.
Yes, I need individual servings so that I eat the right amount. I’m horrible about eating a whole bag.
I haven’t heard of this box!! I do love a good subscription box thought 🙂 Justin’s almond butter is amazing, one of my favorites. And Smart Pop I buy in bulk at costco!
I am still into the traditional packed snack for my kids, like sandwiches and fruits. They all look like healthy snacks. I wonder if there is a way to disguise them as unhealthy and then my kids would eat them.
