I swear it was just yesterday that I was runfessing about my lack of running in June and here we are in July and I’m still not running much.
I must runfess that I have no real excuse not to run a lot of miles – my ankle/heel is probably 90% pain free and even more so when I massage it and foam roll. I’ve even done some icing lately after the few times I’ve run this month. I know, who am I?
I must also runfess that we are now down to 93 days before the Marine Corps Marathon and the last double digit run I did was the half marathon in New Zealand on July 1. Between work, the weather, my son’s econ class… I can’t seem to get my runs in. I really need to start training. OK, even more than that, I really need to start caring about training.
And while I’m runfessing about not running, I have to come clean that I totally used my son as an excuse not to run on Wednesday night. It looked like it was going to pour (and it did and I would have been soaked), so when he asked if he could get a haircut instead of going for a run, I said yes. Good mom, bad runner…
And I’m not sure this is a runfession, but I had to renew my driver’s license in person this week, for the first time in 12 years. And, thanks to all the work with Faster Way to Fat Loss, I actually weigh the weight that was listed on my old license. (And it was a total lie back then because I was 8 months pregnant with Shoo and weighed AT LEAST 50 pounds more than what my license said. I’m pretty sure the DMV person back then was too scared of the pregnant lady to question the number on the license.)
Finally, I must runfess that the new Skirt Sports (affiliate link) patterns for fall of 2018 are going to ALL end up in my house. The colors are AMAZING. I’ve done a really good job the last few seasons with limiting my purchasing, but this collection just makes me happy whenever I put it on. Both of my favorites, Temper Tantrum and Starlet, are based on previous patterns with different colors. I loved them then and I love them now in this season’s iterations. I whined last month about my low mileage and this month it is less and maybe next month it will be even less.
I need an extra job to buy all the patterns. Love them.
I never really mismatch so mine is a mismatch for me but others will think it matches. lol
Lol on the crazy mismatched patterns some of the ladies are wearing. I also love the fall patterns and look forward to all the capri and tights coming out. I tend to wear those a lot more in the fall and winter.

I so feel you on the lack of training motivation. I haven’t run a double digit run all year. That is awesome you’re at DMV weight. Haha! I’ve actually had the guy at the DMV question my weight. That kicked off some weight loss. lol
I have gotten emails for previews of fall lines, or a few things of fall lines are out. I haven’t opened those since I can’t just buy all the stuff. I’ll let it roll out and put things on my Christmas list.
Okay , what??? You have to put your weight on your driver’s license??? I don’t ever remember doing that. I’m going to look at my license right now…haha
After seeing the fall collection for SS I am legit scared for my wallet! I couldn’t do the mismatched thing either – it just felt wrong! LOL!
93 days until MCM??? Yikes! I did an 18-miles yesterday with a friend, but I have another marathon coming up in August before MCM. I feel woefully undertrained! I may change my mind after the race, but I think MCM may be my last one.
I’ve been lazy about my runs, too. I’m trying to get better about it. I have two fall marathons coming up and I am TRYING to use them as motivation, but I often find lots of excuses not to get my butt out there. I haven’t seen the weight listed on my DL for a long, long time. I’ve been renewing by mail so I know my time for in-person renewal is coming up. I may just have to add a pound or two (or ten) to what they have as my weight.
I feel like this time of year is tough to keep up with training! Hopefully you will still have plenty of time to get your runs in before your race.
