I’m pretty sure every mom has heard that phrase at least once in their lives, usually from their 2 year old who’s refusing something like putting on shoes or eating their breakfast. Some kids go through a phase where that’s their response to pretty much everything, even good things.
Today, my inner two year old was loud and clear: I don’t wanna.
I need to work. I don’t wanna.
I need to run. I don’t wanna.
I need to go grocery shopping. I don’t wanna.
Apparently my inner two year old wanted to just sit and do nothing and drink coffee. (What can I say? My inner two year old has sophisticated tastes…)
I told myself that this month I don’t have to run if I don’t want to. But, that doesn’t mean I can sit on my butt and eat bon bons.
No way.
So, I did this instead:
There’s more. LOTS more, but I didn’t create it, so go here to see the whole thing.
To add a little challenge, I also biked for two minutes on my Fitdesk before each set of pushups. Just for the record, this is way harder than it sounds.
Thankfully, my inner two year old is now on board with the idea of a shower and lunch and even a trip to the grocery store.
And when I can’t move tomorrow? Please remind me that I chose to do this.
EEK! I just signed up for BBB and now I am terrified!
You can do it! And honestly, this wasn’t a Tina creation.
So funny – I just had my boot camp classes do something similar (we did 1000 reps) – fun times for sure!!! In fact, one from yesterday just messaged me that she can barely walk today – YIKES!
I’m sure that won’t happen to you with all the running you do!!
I am going to have to check out that workout, sounds.. um fun! I need to get off my hiney and get to doing something too. Hope you aren’t in too much pain tomorrow!
Hah! sometimes my inner 2 year old just wants to be in jammies all day and drink coffee and read. I love those days!
I’ve had the “I don’t wanna’s” for 3 weeks now. Good for you for kicking them in the butt. I hope you’re not too sore tomorrow! =)
I guess sometimes you just need a little bit of momentum to get the ball rolling and then there’s no stopping you.
You chose to do this.
