At least for the day…
Have you been by Run Like a Mother this morning? You might recognize the chick in the Vibrams. (Go ahead – check it out, I’ll still be here…)
I’m the “Follow this Mother” recipient today!
When they contacted me last week, I was over the moon. I gushed all over Beer Geek and showed him the book. I was so.excited. Beer Geek got that “deer in the headlights look” and was like “Congrats, I guess.” Men! They are just so clueless sometimes.
Today is a snow day here and I stayed up way too late last night worrying about the power going out (some people have phobias about bugs, mine’s about power outages in the winter…), so I need to get some coffee and then get the boys out in the snow. I have 8 miles on the schedule today – I’m still hopeful they can be done outside, but only time will tell.
If you are stopping by from RLAM, welcome! Get yourself a cup of your favorite beverage, pull up a chair, and hang out for a bit. I promise not all my posts are this scattered. ;o) And leave me a comment! I’d love to have a chance to check out your blog if you have one!
CONGRATUALTIONS~~ what a great picture of you running too! I want your legs!!
I want to hear more about your vibram transition. Did you go cold turkey from regular shoes? How long did it take for your legs to adjust? If you've already talked about it, send me the link to that post.
Congratulations :-)That was awesome to learn so much more about you. I totally went through the "baby blues", too. With both kids. I feel ya! They are so worth it, though <3
If you find an outside 8 mile loop, can you share with the rest of the DC runners? I'm fearful that I won't be able to hit the street for another week after the snow/rain/sleet yesterday.Congratulations on being featured on RLAM!
Congrats!! I love that they featured you…RLAM has good taste 🙂
Wow, that's awesome! And I agree, you look great in that running shot!
Well that sucks. I guess we can't hang out anymore. I'm not allowed near any famous people!
ooooh, I'd love to do 8 miles today…where are you running? so far the sidewalks are still a mess around here!
Congratulations! You've already been a huge inspiration to me 🙂 It's nice to see you get the recognition you deserve.
Your picture came up on RLAM on my reader this morning and I knew immediately that RLAM was featuring you. I was so excited for you! Congratulations! My 20 minute commute turned into a 4 hour Mad Max-style ordeal last night, and I am still wiped out this morning. Not sure I am going to get in the 6 miles today, especially since I have to do it outside. Bummer.
Way to go! I'm heading over to check you out right now. 🙂
Congrats on being in being in the spotlight!! I've subscribed to your blog in my reader for quite some and I also subscribe to Run Like a Mother, so it was neat to see you featured!Enjoy your snow day!!
Congratulations! I loved the interview. I am reading that book now!
CONGRATS! I love that book.
Great interview! I didn't know you coached moms after childbirth – I could use you A LOT!!! More info?
Congrats on being featured – totally cool!Enjoy the snow day and hope you can get your run in!!
Congratulations! Great interview!!
Such a great feature on you! That pic of you in your running skirt and Vibrams is a great one!
wow! congratulations! what an honor!!!! (not surprised at all that they contacted you!)
Congratulations! Good luck running in the snow! At least you have a treadmill in your home if you can't get out, I've had to cancel a few runs this year because not only could I not run in the deep snow, but I couldn't get my car out of the driveway to get to the gym!
Congrats! But I already knew you were awesome!
Happy to be following you! I love the 50 races in 50 states idea. SO much less daunting than 50 marathons. My variation on the theme was The Thirteen Colonies…. But I haven't officially started that. Happy snow day, Mama!
Congrats! A very well deserved honour! 🙂
found you through RLAM. Have enjoyed reading your blog! Would love to hear more about the 5 fingers, you should post about that..maybe you already have. I just read Born To Run and they are all the rage where I live.
Great interview with RLAM! I looked at your list of states to run. We would love to have you down here in N.C.! Have a great day!
Congratulations! Hope your power continued to stay on. Losing power is no fun at all! If I get the candles out it's my way of keeping it on!
Just stopping in from RLAM. Congrats!
Just stopping by from RLAM! Great blog!
Congrats! Very impressive!
Congrats. I love that pic your quads look amazing!
Congratulations! Great picture and article!
That is exactly where I came from! Nice to meet you and I love your story! My running buddy and I are working on becoming minimalist runners and I'm getting eager for the temps to warm up here in IN so I can start running barefoot outside! (I'm really eager to get my feet on a pair of the new Merrels, actually).Come to Indy for a race! We have some great half and full marathons- our biggest event is probably the 500 Festival Mini Marathon (half) in May, we have an inaugural Women's Marathon this Labor Day weekend, and our Monumental event in October is great (marathon, half, and 5K offered)!
I can't believe I missed this yesterday. That's what I get for actually going to work all day!So glad they chose you, congratulations!
