I finished the 10 miler in 1:31:02. Details tomorrow.
Today was quite hot and way too busy. After the race, the boys and I laid the bricks to start a small garden – we’ll have cucumbers, tomatoes, and arugula. If history repeats itself, we won’t have much of any of them. Then I headed out to a visitation as the family friend I mentioned a few weeks ago passed away on Friday. After a short prayer service that I was happy to have attended, I headed out to Jones’ second soccer game of the weekend. His team played a tough game in 93 degree weather.
We ordered Thai food for dinner as I’m completely drained – emotionally and physically. Hopefully a good night’s sleep will get me back on my feet.
Congrats on your 10 miler! Thai food sounds like yummy post-race food. Sorry about your friend 🙁
That’s a PR for you, right?! Congrats and great to see you in passing today! Your day makes me feel TIRED. You got SO MUCH accomplished!
Good work on a busy day. Get a night of rest, you deserve it!
No wonder you are exhausted! I’m looking forward to reading about your race.

Great job on the 10-miler 🙂
Man, if the heat hit down there the way it did up here – just BAM! palpably THERE on Friday and then for the rest of the weekend without let-up – then it’s amazing you got as much done as you did.Ten miles? I ran a 5k and it nearly KILLED me!Good job, sister!”wisepus” as my word verification, sister? But I was NICE this time!1!
I’m sorry about your friend :(Great time with 10 miles in that heat though!
