In honor of Valentine’s Day and Tuesdays on the Run, I thought I’d write a love poem. I’ve waxed poetic in the past about my love affair with running, including one from my pre-Skirt days. So, today, you get to be amazed by my poetic prowess as I swoon over my favorite skirt.
Ode to my Happy Girl,
Oh, how I love thee! Let me count the ways.
I love thee for the length
That provides me with a pleasing appearance
And a chafe free run.
I love thee for the patterns.
Oh, the many, many patterns you tempt me with.
I love thee in Tantrum, Escape, and Psyched.
And Aberdeen, Paradise, and Snake Charmer.
But I love thee for so much more.
Each season I love thee for the new prints.
And the unicorns I search for on ebay.
But mostly I love thee for the happiness,
The sheer joy of running in comfort and beauty,
So aptly named the Happy Girl.
Want to try out a Happy Girl (or any of the other awesome skirts ) at Skirt Sports? Use code 413MCMM for 15% off all full price items. And while you are there, take advantage of the Valentine’s Day sale on the limited edition prints. I happen to think that Rockstar is AMAZING!
And for another Valentine’s Day deal, get 14% off of any ZOOMA race (any distance) using code LOVETORUN! I’ll definitely be at the Texas race!
I’m a Skirt Sports Ambassador and I work for ZOOMA, but my love of both pre-dates my association and I just like to share the love.

Great poem! This skirt sounds pretty awesome 🙂
I love them. I occasionally have to sell one because I’m trying not to take over my house with skirts LOL.
This post made me smile! I have never run in a skirt before but I think it is high time I tried!
Skirts are awesome – comfy, cute, and POCKETS!
This is such a fun post!! I’m so jealous of your colorful collection. They’re all so cute!
I’ve been collecting for a while LOL.
Happy Girl was my first, too. Although I don’t wear them as much for running, now, since I have newer faves, but more as regular clothes — in the summer!
I still wear HG the most, especially if I’m running farther than a half marathon.
Haha! Now I wish I did an ode to INKnBURN. Isn’t that funny how much we can love one certain line of clothing?
I can’t even imagine running without skirts anymore. They are just such a part of my life.
What a fun post! You’re a poet, yet I didn’t know it! Cute skirts!
Ha,ha. Thanks!
Love the poem!! And wow, that’s one awesome collection! So colorful and pretty. 🙂
Thanks! When I first started getting them, I only bought the black ones with white, grey, or subdued colors. Now I’m all about bright LOL.
Fun post! Happy Girl is one of my favorites too!
It’s the only skirt that NEVER gives me issues.
I’ve never run in a skirt before! You have so many! Happy Valentines Day <3
They are so comfortable! I like the longer Happy Girl, but Skirt Sports has styles that fit all different preferences.
Great poem! Thank you for sharing.
I love my Running Skirts. I’ve done my last two races in Oiselle Roga shorts, but I’m thinking I need a Running Skirt for San Francisco. Why not?
I’m definitely a skirt girl. I only own a couple of pairs of shorts…
What a fun little poem. 🙂
Thanks!
That is one hefty (and colorful!) collection of skirts!
I know. I wear them all though!
I need to get a Happy Girl! I have the Jetta but definitely need to add more skirts to my library! Haha
Love the poem, btw! <3
I just love the extra length, especially for casual wear.
Love all of the skirts!!! I am jumping out of my comfort zone this year from SS capris to skirts!!!
Which skirt? I’ve tried most styles at this point and I do have a few others I like, but Happy Girl is always my go to.
Very cute! Happy skirting and running hope to see you soon
Yes, it’s hard to believe I never see you when we live so close to each other.
That is a SERIOUS Happy Girl collection! I guess we don’t need to ask which is your favorite product! I’m a Lioness and Gym Girl Ultra gal.
That is quite a collection of skirts!! I have something similar with my Oiselle shorts.
These skirts are awesome! I’m looking for a new one; Have to check out that brand! Thanks for hosting again this week!
