Half Marathon #3 in 79 days is done! I’ll do a full recap later this week, but the race can pretty much be summed up in two word: hills and ouch. I’m so sore today that I can barely walk. Given my heavy mileage, I should not be this sore from a race I didn’t all out race…
Today’s giveaway is for a $35 e-coupon to Road ID.
We’ve all read the tips on how to run safe:
- Run against traffic
- Run in well-lit areas or make sure you personally are well lit
- Run with a group
- Don’t always run at the same time at the same place
- Be aware of your surroundings
But, no matter how careful you are, sometimes things happen. We’ve all seen the sad news recently about runner moms hit by cars while out running. We’ve all tripped at times and hurt ourselves – remember my fall recently where I hit my chin so hard I nearly knocked myself out?
Personally, I’m in the “always carry your cell phone and ID” camp, but if you don’t like to carry your phone or you’d like something in addition to your phone (particularly if you have a medical condition), the RoadID products are an awesome alternative.
And they have tons of options to fit your personal lifestyle:
- Wrist IDs
- Shoe IDs
- Ankle IDs
- Dog tag style IDs
- Heck they even have ones you can put on your pet!
Been thinking about getting one, but not done it yet? Need a new one or one for your kids? Here’s your chance!
Disclaimer: RoadID is providing the gift certificate for this giveaway. All opinions are my own.
I hope to be able to run like you one day.
I got one of these IDs for one of my kids a while back, but now that I run on the street a lot, I think it would be smart to have one for me.

I run mostly with at least one other person, and we both wear headlamps in the early morning hours. I would like more reflective clothing, however. My winter running jacket especially could be more visible.
I always run with my cellphone – however when it is too cold out it doesn’t work and bad weather – well then it just stays home! Something like this would help:)
I know I should run with my phone, but I don’t usually wear a belt and I usually care my hand held which has a pocket that is too small for my phone.
