Hmm, 3 things Wednesday?
It’s that time of year again – “Keep the gecko warm” season. You don’t have that at your house??? One of the downsides of having an older house is the lack of insulation. When you put your hand against the wall in the winter, it’s COLD! (And my closet is cold enough to keep beer cold…) After the fire, Jones decided he didn’t want the gecko in his room. So, I’ve had a gecko in my living room for the past couple of months. Unfortunately, the living room location is in a corner with two outer walls, which means COLD gecko! So, now I have a gecko in my dining room… Wonder where he’ll end up next?
I have a cold. It’s really pretty minor. A little scratchy throat and a stuffy nose. But I’m acting like I got hit by a truck. I think it’s kind of like how I’ve lost my ability to run at an uncomfortable pace. I very seldom get sick, so OMG.It’stheendoftheworld! I made yesterday a rest day, but that’s it. Pulling myself together and heading to Revolve to sweat it out.
And because it’s cold (and I have a cold), I’ve been using my oven. Another feature of an old house? An uninsulated oven that’s older than me. Yeah. So, I survive with a convection toaster oven most of the time when I don’t want to heat up the house. But now, heating up the house is a good thing!
Meet my newest comfort food:
It’s kale and romaine, cut in strips, mixed with a whole grain mustard/olive oil/rice wine vinegar dressing, and wilted in a low temp oven (~250 degrees). Then I added grapes and pumpkin seeds. So.Good.
Here’s what else has been going in my mouth lately…
Thanks, Jenn, for an awesome WIAW link up!

We have geckos all through our house – but not because they’re pets. More like pests! They fight on our ceiling, mate over our dining table and I find their little sticky poos all around the house. I’m definitely not a gecko fan.
Wish I could mail ours to you. ;o) He’s a lot of work for not much in return LOL.
I love geckos! We have quite a variety of them here in SA. Keep him warm! Haha, we have the same adventures with them as Char mentions 🙂
I think I’d prefer a wild one – this supposedly easy reptile is quite the challenge.
