Mostly Wordless Wednesday: Running hot

July 7, 2010 by MCM Mama 27 Comments

Color me unhappy.  I ran on the treadmill last night and, despite a fan blowing on me, looked like I’d been swimming by the time I was done.  Wonder if I’ll manage to pull off the last day of my 10 day streak today?

I was thinking of you yesterday! Sorry it's so miserable for you…I am still sticking to my line: It's better than winter! You can console me when the snow comes.

It is hot here in my part of Canada but it isn't snow so I am hydrating and dealing with the unbelievable amount of sweat I am producing.

I'm in Washington state instead of Washington DC this week and I am seriously considering putting on sleeves to run in 59 degrees! It's going to feel like winter after the weather we've been having…

At least you have the treadmill option, but I take it you don't have A/C? THAT would be miserable!

Hey! Just found your blog! I am a fellow runner/blogger!Yikes! Summer training can be so hard! Here in the midwest, we haven't had as much much heat this summer, but we have experienced tons and tons of rain! Keep our streak going. Even if your runs are short! you will be so proud that you did! Also, I noticed in your about me that you like to visit pubs as you train for races in each state. You might be interested in this great race called "Brew to Brew." It starts in KC, MO and ends in Lawrence, KS. Most people get teams together for the race, so it is a lot of fun. Might be worth looking into!
