The good news is that I woke up this morning and my foot feels mostly normal. Of course, this means that if my dr. had not expressly forbidden me from running today, I’d be giving it a try. Well played, chiro, well played. So, I’ll have basically the same day as yesterday, just a different color of shoe. If my chiro doesn’t give me the ok to run tomorrow, I’ll be joining the gym again so I can at least use the bike.
Some things I’ve learned over the last two days:
- KT Tape Pro sticks like nothing I’ve seen before. So far it’s survived 4 ice baths and a shower and shows no sign of budging.
- Sitting on my butt all day makes me tired.
- Shoes look really goofy with pajamas, but the Brooks Pure Connects are hella comfortable as a “sitting around on my a$$ shoe”.
- Rest can indeed allow you to heal!
Happy Thursday! Do a workout for me, ok?
*Just for the record, that ice bin is never used to hold ice cubes. So, you can come to my house and have a cold drink without it tasting like foot. I know you were worried.
Yeah..that stuff sticks like super glue…well almost! Brilliant idea on the ice bin! Hope foot feels better soon.
At first I thought the ice bin was a loaf pan. 🙂
Glad to hear that you are healing… you’ll be back at it before too long now!
make it a great day!
I was worried! My comment before I saw your disclaimer was going to be something along that line! Whew. So no “foot margaritas” at your house?
You’re approaching your recovery like a pro. There’s nothing like a motivated runner to do everything in their powers to get out running again as quickly as possible. I think you’ll be running very, very soon.
Hilarious! Hope your foot feels better soon. I know how it is to have to sit on your butt all day. It makes me feel like I have motivation for NOTHING at all!
Good luck wth your foot! I’ve been dealing with knee issues lately, and am not allowed to run for a few weeks 🙁
Resting IS exhausting!! And my butt hurts from sitting on the couch all day too. But I’m glad to hear that you are taking it easy and take good care of your foot.
