#NovemberMileage and “Thankful to my Followers” Giveaway

November 3, 2014 by MCM Mama 59 Comments

I had an AMAZING run on Saturday morning.  It wasn’t super fast, but I felt strong for the entire 5 miles and my last mile was faster than my first mile.  Other than a total wipeout when I stepped on a hidden rock, my body felt good.  In fact, it was the first time in a long time where I had unexpected free time and I CHOSE to go out and run!

So, while hanging out with my runner’s high, I decided I needed a mileage goal and so do YOU.  Join me!

MCMMama-novembermileage

Details:

  • Choose the number of miles you plan to run this month (whatever number seems right for YOU.) I chose 100.
  • Run your miles, at whatever speed and whatever combination of distances.  (One crazy participant is running a 50 mile race! I won’t be doing that LOL)
  • Be entered into a random drawing for prizes.  Prizes won’t be huge – I think I have some socks, nuun, Gu, etc.  I’ll see what I can get my hands on.
  • Be proud of your accomplishment!

Spreadsheet is here. If you aren’t there, feel free to add yourself and your info. Also, feel free to add your twitter or blog information if I’ve already listed you. If you have issues, email me at mcmmamaruns at gmail.com and I’ll add you.

In other news, I’m co-hosting a giveaway blog hop.

Thankful For My Followers Hop

I’m giving away a Scott James necklace to thank you all for being my faithful followers.

scott-james-run-with-heart

I love Scott James.  They gave me a lovely necklace after ZOOMA Annapolis last year and I wear it all.the.time.

scott-james-commemorative

In fact, I like it so much that I bought myself a few new trinkets after Ragnar this year…

square-ragnar

Of course, I also bought the Washington dangle and will buy Cape Cod as soon as I run that as well.  Yeah, it’s an addiction…

[Tweet “Join my #novembermileage challenge + enter my @sjsportjewelry giveaway!”]

I’d love to thank my readers by giving them each an awesome necklace, but I can’t afford that, so here’s how to enter the raffle:

I usually use GU in races, and I know this may sound weird, but I wish they had some flavors that weren’t so sweet. For training runs, I often use peanut butter M&Ms.

Coffee with a side of rain

Apparently I only write coffee posts when I’m in Michigan. I guess my body is hard wired to wake up early, but the college kid has no interest in an early wakeup call. I’d run, but it’s raining and I did not bring the right running clothes, so here I sit. I’m joining Deb and […]
