I have 93.4 miles to go to hit 1000 miles for the year. If I hit all of my planned runs for the distances I currently have planned, I will be about 15 miles short of my goal. I’m going to try to manage an extra run or two, but that’s going to be a bit hard as Beer Geek is traveling next week and then we all leave for Wisconsin on the 19th. I can run on my parents’ treadmill, but I can only manage so much of that. I may run outside some while in WI, but I can’t count on that.
So, I’m adding distance anywhere that I can. I ran 7 miles on Tuesday (at a very consistent 9:45 pace for the first 6 and 9:30 for the last one). At the end of my run, I did a .31 mile cool down. Tomorrow I am running in a 5K Turkey Trot. To add a bit, I’ll run from my house to the start line as a warm up. I think that will add another quarter mile. Hey, every little bit helps LOL.
Speaking of tomorrow, I am hoping to pull out a PR. Last year I ran it in 26:53. I’ll be happy if I can even shave a few seconds. I haven’t done much speed work lately, plus it’s a very hilly route and my leg has been bothering me on hills. Maybe if I don’t slow down and goof off when I see the kids in my front yard…
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
whoa! too weird! I just sat down to post about the same thing… how much mileage i am short of my 1000k goal! good luck reaching it! You’re so close. Happy Thanksgiving, and good luck in the Turkey Trot tomorrow! 🙂
The 1000K goal is very cool! I’m going to have to consider that as well? Any particular reason you set it at 1000K? I know 500 was tough for me so what you’re doing is great.
Best wishes for the Turkey Trot! 🙂
Oh, being that close to a 1000, ya gots to break it! Especially if Viper you fails, you MUST succeed!
What a cool goal! Good luck good luck. Even a few short is a great accomplishment.
1000 miles! that is crazy and awesome!
Make it happen, Lady! You are too close to 1000 to let a little thing like busyness stop you!I wish I’d kept up with my mileage better, but I think I’m probably in the 800’s. I’m thinking of training for a marathon in the spring, and I’ll definitely keep up with my mileage in ’09.
