We had a super busy weekend this past weekend with our beer dinner and then my last pre-Ragnar meeting. I promise I’ll write about the beer dinner next week, but this week is going to be Ragnar, Ragnar, Ragnar.
I will tell you that the surprise (not to me) hit of the dinner was this beer:
Despite pre-beer comments of “really? peanut butter?” and “Reeses peanut butter cup beer?”, it was loved by every.single. person. Go NOW and buy some. You know I’ll be buying more.
But now let’s talk Ragnar…
We got our team shirts last night and I have to say they are some kind of awesome!
Today we are going as a group and getting a Ragnar manicure. I haven’t had a professional manicure in more than 10 years, so this should be fun. It’ll also be cool to hang with the ladies from both vans.
Tomorrow I will run my last pre-Ragnar run. I ran a little over 5 miles yesterday at the hottest point of the day and it went well. So, I figure 5-7 miles on Tuesday and I’m good to go. Thursday night, I will sadly miss out on most of the van decorating, but will hopefully get over there towards the end, so I can at least see Van 1 off on their journey. (Two soccer practices + a husband with a crazy busy week means not a lot of play time for mommy.)
I need to start packing, but so far, my packing looks something like this:
Skirt Sports has $20 off of ANY purchase over $30 with code: JC89588 (affiliate link)
plus free shipping on any purchase over $100 until September 16!
Yes, I need to somehow pull 3 outfits out of that mess. I know I want to wear my Skirt Sports skirts and my ProCompression socks, but am struggling to find colors that work together. Apparently I need to buy more socks and more skirts. Shh, don’t tell Beer Geek.
I’ll be spending today doing laundry and working on my personal packing list from all of those awesome Ragnar posts(in addition to that little thing called work). I guess the first thing I should do is figure out what bag I’m taking and find Jones’ sleeping bag…
If you’ve done a relay of any sort, tell me your best tip or one thing I can’t forget!
