Not a whole lot going on here. I’m eating a lot of junk and sitting on my butt a lot. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to go for a “recovery” run. It all kind of depends on the cold I’m getting (thanks Shoo) and a very bruised toe.
I just updated my sidebar with my marathon time. It gave me shivers to do that. I still have a hard time believing that it’s over. I feel like I’m wandering around looking for a new goal. (Beer Geek better be happy that I’m looking for running goals, not big changes like a new house or new baby LOL).
I totally forgot to mention one funny thing that happened after the marathon. When we stopped at the coffee shop, my mom turned to me and informed me that she didn’t have keys to our house. Umm, ok, well, neither did I. And Beer Geek was on his way out of town (and I’m pretty sure his cell phone was in the trunk of the car). I was having visions of having to break into my house. You know, ’cause the rest of my day was boring and all. Run 26.2 miles, walk 3, and break a few windows. Isn’t that how everyone does a marathon? Thankfully, our neighbor was home and had a key to our back door, so it turned out to not be a problem. But, geez, I micromanaged everything else and totally forgot about keys to the house.
Enjoy your recovery! I say you get at least a week to eat whatever you want.I am glad your neighbor was home. forgetting my keys is my specialty. ha!Your time on the marathon rocked! When is the next one?
I did my first run today. I always forget how slow and awkward that first one is. And, I always take the full week after the marathon to run or not run, eat and drink whatever I want. I think it’s not only good for the body, but good for the soul too.
Marathon time looks darned good on the sidebar, too! If I were you I would certainly keep scrolling down and looking at it…As for eating, you picked a great time of year to recover from your marathon! I can’t walk a foot in the office without a bowl of Halloween candy pouncing on me.
Awwwhhh shoot, just have another baby! HAHAHAHAH JK!I know it, recovery IS boring. Don’t worry you’ll be back to it soon 😉
