A while back, RevolveDC offered me a chance to come for a free ride and bring 20 of my local friends. Obviously, I jumped at the chance and sent out word to my local running buddies and some of the moms’ groups I belonged to. It didn’t take long to fill all of my allotted seats.
I rode on Wednesday with a friend and Angel kicked.our.butts. So, I took Thursday as a rest day to make sure my legs were up for a fun ride on Friday.
Friday, a decent percentage of women showed up for the ride. (Most of us were moms and we all know that kids can throw a wrench in plans.)
Once again, Revolve did not disappoint. Friday’s instructor was Grant Hill. This was the third time I’ve taken his class and he ALWAYS pushes me harder than I’d push myself. I came out of there sweating like it was a sauna, despite the air conditioning. Feedback from the other riders indicated that everyone had a good time.
Honestly, if I wasn’t running so many races, I’d pay the unlimited ride monthly subscription and ride multiple times a week. It’s an awesome workout and it doesn’t aggravate my ankles or calves like running does. Even better, the classes I take tend to be the ones that include some weight work, so I get a bit of an upper body workout too. Win/Win!
(A few of the riders – some had to rush out to get kids, etc. If you look closely, you can tell we are all sweaty!)

Disclaimer: Revolve provided this ride free for myself and my friends. All opinions are my own and I’ve gone back several times on my own $$.
I took a class at the Revolve studio in NYC last winter and LOVED IT! Such high energy and tons of fun. And I definitely felt it for a few days afterwards. How cool that you got to host a party for your friends to try!
It’s such an awesome workout – I feel like my leg muscles are getting much stronger!
With weights? That sounds awesome!
Yeah, it pretty much is. I’m really enjoying going.
