Since Marcia opened the Runfessional late and Deb and Coco are hosting the Ultimate Coffee Date, I’ve decided to combine the fun into one post.

If we were having coffee, I’d runfess that I meant to write this post days ago, but life kept getting in the way. In fact, it took me all day today to actually hit publish. I’ve been juggling two part time jobs for a while, but recently I started working a regular shift at the library as well as picking up a few other shifts as they need people. I like it and I’m still not working 40 hours a week, but it’s taking a bit of adjustment to fit in my non-paid activities now.

Speaking of non-paid, if we were having coffee, I’d runfess that I’m nervous about getting in all the miles for the 50K. I’ve created a plan similar to when I ran the back to back marathons, but I have a lot less free time than I had back then. Plus, because I ran those in spring, my kids were in school. We are heading towards summer, which is always a bit more challenging on the kid front.
If we were having coffee, I’d runfess that I still don’t feel trained for tomorrow’s half marathon. I’m getting closer to having a decent mileage base, but it’s been slow going. But it’s my 80th half marathon and I’m running it as a training run, so I’m going to just go have fun. Unfortunately, it’s projected to be a very wet training run.

If we were having coffee, I’d also runfess that I have no idea what I plan to wear tomorrow. I feel like throwing my skirts in the air and seeing which one lands within a circle. All I know for sure is that I won’t be wearing this combo…

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that ZOOMA is currently partnering with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health for National Women’s Health Week. We are hosting a virtual race – the race is free, but if you’d like, you can buy a medal or a medal and a tank. (If you decide to buy, use code RUNWITHME for 15% off!)

If we were having coffee, I’d also runfess that I’m more stressed about figuring out college for my older son than I ever was for myself. I never like to wish time away, but I’ll be super happy when I know where he is going. But since he hasn’t even started applying, it’ll be a while until that issue is put to bed LOL.
Like you, my fall training will commence this summer…probably in mid-Julyish. It’s exciting to have so many wonderful MCM “sisters” to (virtually) train with this year 😉
Yep, there will be lots of fun ladies there!
Omg the words fall training give me the creeps. I’ve been so immersed in spring training that I don’t think I’ll train for much in fall. I hope summer allows you to train for your 50k. Speaking of the creeps, that MCM top gives me them as well. Yowza what were they thinking?? The college selection process is hugely stressful. I’m happy to be through it. Once anyway. Thanks for linking up!
Good luck with the half tomorrow! I never seem to be able to fit it into my schedule. the whole college process is super stressful
Oh, I hope the Half went well today – it was a wet one! The college process is so stressful, but once my daughter found a match, I realized that we make it more stressful than it needs to be. Easy to say from my perspective, I know.
Oh my gosh that MCM shirt is quite the statement! Seriously, what were they thinking?!
Hope your half went well!
I’m so not looking forward to the stress of the college process -my son will be a junior this fall. My bet is that we parents are probably more stressed about it then they are!
