I have to admit that when I realized today was Runfession Friday, I freaked out a little. I mean, how could it be the end of the February already??? Thankfully we have almost a week left, so I’m not quite as far behind as I thought I was (I just finished sending my tax stuff to my accountant. Pretty sure that’s going to be blood bath. Oh well.) So, it’s not quite the end of the month, but I’ll runfess with Marcia anyways. Because this is how my February has gone…

I runfess that I’ve had a hard time actually committing to any races this spring. I even went so far as to sign up to volunteer for the Reston Half Marathon rather than run it. But last night I got bitten by the race bug and signed up for the local Four Courts race (OMG, that hill!), the Rosaryville trail race, and decided to run the All American Half Marathon. Suddenly I have something race related every weekend in March. I’d say “oops”, but that’s pretty normal around here.

While I’m runfessing, I must admit when I get a goal, I’m a little fixated. My boss at ZOOMA mentioned that she’d love to have all 50 states (and as many countries as possible) represented at her Women’s Day 5K virtual race. So, of course, I’m all about making that happen. As of yesterday, here’s what we have left: Alabama, Arkansas, Hawaii, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Want to join us? Use code RUNWITHME for 15% off! For every $500 in proceeds, ZOOMA will sponsor a woman through Women for Women.

Lest you think I’m a super awesome giving person, I must also runfess that I’m selfish. My husband has been asking for a new speaker that would work with MP3 input and blue tooth for a while. I couldn’t be bothered to do the research. Then I got addicted to watching How I Met Your Mother while I was on the treadmill. And my MP3 input on the treadmill broke. And my Kindle Fire wasn’t loud enough. Yeah, that lasted about 5 minutes before I ordered this awesome Oontz speaker. (And it is awesome! I should have bought it a long time ago.)

While I’m runfessing, I must also admit that I discovered yesterday that the cashier at my grocery store gave me the senior citizen discount. Umm, I have quite a few years until I’m 60! Was it the grey streaks in my hair? The reading glasses? (I know it’s not my skin – my Beautycounter products are amazing.) I’m just going to go with “it was a random act of kindness” and leave it at that LOL.
If you’ve patiently been reading my blah blah blah, here’s a deal for you! As a Nuun ambassador, a few times a year I can offer you a Friends and Family discount. So here you go!

Happy Friday, ya’ll. (I think it’s Friday – we’ve had a crazy week with a holiday and a snow day.) What fun stuff do you have planned this weekend? I’m going to a Barleywine Festival!
Lol on the senior discount! I have not run the 4 courts yet maybe I should add that in this year. Hills you say? Also running the Zooma virtual
I occasionally get the Senior discount at Dunkin, usually if the line has been exceptionally long. I figure it’s a thank you for daily visits since they opened.
ooh that women’s day race looks awesome. Off to investigate even though you don’t need New York
I predict we’re gonna hit the 50 state thing. Now who do I know in Hawaii….
I hope March weather cooperates for #alltheraces!
You certainly don’t look like you’re ready for a senior discount so I’d definitely chalk that up to a random act of kindness!
Looks like a fun March for you!
