Last night I went in to Madison and met up with five other running blogging women. It was organized by Running Diva Mom and it was a blast. We got some cool goodies, had some laughs and ate some yummy italian food. I’ll post some pictures and links tomorrow.
There were 85 entries in the CSN Stores $60 card giveaway and the random number generator picked #70. The winner is Heather at The Crazy World of a Running Mom. Her blog is a “new to me” blog and I just read that she’s had to stop training for her fall marathon due to injury. Stop on by there and give her some running blogger love.
Thanks for playing, everyone!
(Heather, send me an email at mom2shoo at gmail.com and I’ll get them to send you your card.)
Yay for bloggie meetups!! Looking forward to those pics 🙂
I finished the virtual race. I ran a little extra because I forget how many miles I was supposed to run. Check out http://laceitupandrun.blogspot.com/2010/08/done-done.html
How fun that you got a bloggie meet up! As your run-travels take you through all 50 states, does that mean you'll eventually meet ALL of us?
I'm so happy I won! Thanks so much for having the giveaway!! This made my day! That's cool that you were able to meet up with some blogger friends. It sounds like it was lots of fun!
The meetup sounds great! A brief account of my 4 miles is here… it wasn't pretty, but I got it done.
I had a great time last night. Great food and great conversation. The run went well this morning – humid – but the temp's stayed cool. I finished in 2:08 – 4 minutes better than last year. I still have the 2:00 goal. Maybe next year.Hope you have a great vacation here in the state. Knowing that you like brew pubs. Have you been down to Potosi in the Southwestern corner of the state. It is a pretty nicely renovated brew pub. Darn Good Beer. !!! I just might have one. 😉
Yay for blogger meet ups!Congrats winner!
Are you originally from Madison? All of my relatives live in the Sheboygan/Kohler area. (my parents both grew up there) My Aunts and Uncles are trying to get me to do a run in Milwaukee in Oct. Will you be back? It looks like I can actually do your run now that my achilles is healed : )
Looking forward to hearing all about it!
Sounds like so much fun! Lucky you and all the others.
