This spring was kind of a big deal for me. I knew I wanted to buy myself something to commemorate the completion of 13 half marathons in 79 days. I don’t expect to do anything quite that big again for a while, so I knew I wanted something special but had no idea what.
Enter Scott James Jewelry. (Disclaimer: they ended up giving me the jewelry, but I was prepared to purchase it. Their website is the source of all of my photos except the bottom one.)
I first saw their jewelry at the Expo for ZOOMA because they were a sponsor. In fact, they had created a few special charms for ZOOMA.
While I love those charms, I didn’t want to commemorate that race specifically (my medal, the charm on the medal, and the clothing I bought took care of that LOL). I wanted to commemorate all 13.
So, here’s what I chose:
13.1 – umm, that was kind of a no brainer.
2014 – because that’s when I did this major endeavor (yes, I realize the picture is 2013)
Run – because, yeah, that’s what I did.
I think it made a lovely combination!
Scott James Jewelry is lovely and handcrafted. It is made in their studio in Utah, which is a huge plus to me. In addition, I feel that it is quite reasonably priced. In addition to the charms I have highlighted here and the ones that they have on their site, they are willing to make a custom charm. Again, I find the custom charms reasonably priced and will soon order one that says “Venus” on it to add to my necklace. While I love wearing the necklace and do wear it regularly (took it on my Gatorade adventure LOL), I love even more that I was able to choose exactly the necklace I wanted and charms that held specific meaning to me.
Disclaimer: I was given the necklace to review but I fully intended to purchase it and will purchase my Venus charm myself. All opinions are my own.
I absolutely LOVE their stuff! I plan on treating myself to a set of charms after my (third) marathon this year. 🙂
Love your choices! I went with a charm bracelet and absolutely love it!
