Self Control, I can haz it!

February 25, 2013 by MCM Mama 8 Comments

I’ve reached that dangerous point.  You know the one.

My leg feels close to 100%.

I can’t find a sore spot anymore (I’m sure my chiro will though LOL).

I can run up and down the stairs of my house without limping.

My body is screaming for a run.

But I won’t run.  Not today. Not tomorrow.  Why?  Because I promised my chiro I wouldn’t run until he saw me again.

And tomorrow when I see him, I know what’s he’s going to say.

1 mile.  2 at the most.  5% increase.  Sigh.

That’s why, as soon as I drop my kids off at school, I have a 2 hour date with the elliptical.  Again.

And if you don’t follow me on Instagram, you should.  I had a really good weekend.

Oh that must be hard! Because as soon as you start to feel better, it’s hard to constrain yourself. So good for you!

Fingers are crossed for good news from the Chiro! Enjoy the elliptical, its wonderful that you are still staying so active through injury, you’ll bounce back faster than you think!

Hang in there. You’re almost ready. It’s better to rest and take it easy and build up correctly then gunning it and hurting yourself again! I know it is miserable…but it will all be worth in when you finish! 😉 Good luck!
