I’m going to cut right to the chase on this one.Β I LOVE this skirt!Β Seriously LOVE it.

This skirt is advertised as a “golf” skirt, but it says it’s versatile enough for anything. I’d have to agree. This is the perfect skirt for anyone who wants a little more coverage.
I’ve been “blessed” with substantial thighs. (Note to my German grandmothers: If you were going to share the childbearing hips and the trunklike thighs, could you possibly have given me the boobs too?) I have other skirts. I like those skirts, but this is the first one I’ve found that I think I could happily run a half marathon in. There’s not enough glide in the world to prevent chafing in skirts with just undies under them and anything with a 4-5 inch short is barely long enough on me. The 7″ inseam on the shorties, combined with definite compression, keeps these shorts in place and comfortable. I’ve run 7 miles in them so far with nary a millimeter of slippage. The slightly longer than average overskirt is nice too. I like having my “assets” covered, thankyouverymuch.
There is a pocket on the back of the skirt (intended for a golf card and tee LOL). My iphone fit in it and I’m sure some gels would, but its placement does not make for an attractive look. Unlike some of their other skirts, there are no pockets on the shorties. (This skirt is the same as the Happy Girl skirt(this is an affiliate link), which does have the pocket. Updated to add: I now own many of the Happy Girl Skirts and they are awesome. The pockets on the legs comfortably hold a phone.)
So, what’s not to love about this skirt? The price. With a starting price of $70-75, you aren’t going to buy one in every color. (Ok, maybe you will, but I just can’t justify that.) Thankfully, they frequently have sales and you can occasionally find them on sale on other sites.
So, if like me, you’ve been searching for a skirt with just a little extra coverage and some major “stay put” abilities, this is your skirt.
(Disclaimer: All opinions are my own. I bought this with my own money during one of their sales. No one asked me to do a review.)
I struggle with this too as I initially think THAT IS SO MUCH MONEY—and then realize you get what you pay for and order one anyway π
The staying put is key! I haven’t yet tried running in a skirt…maybe I will now! Thanks for sharing π
oooh i’d be all over this since it’s longer than normal!
I LOVE skirt sport skirts . . . they are my fave. I only have one though (got is at 50% off), but it is by far my favorite. I love the Kendall collection . . . so cute.
BTW- Had to laugh at your German grandmother comment . . . I am 50% German and just got the thighs too!
it looks really cute on you too!
you know,my favorite skirt sport skirt is the lotta breeze capris. what stops me from getting another one is the price. i think i’m going to search for one on sale somewhere.
Thanks for the review. I so want a skirt, but like you I carry my weight in my thighs. I have a Champion shirt, which has compression shorts, but I dont think it looks that great on me . I love reading review on skirts.
I love me a good skirt! Not to much the price but I’d rather put out the cash for quality than pay less and get a poor quality product that doesn’t last.
I’m not a runner, but I’d definitely wear one of these hanging around my yard with the kids or puttering around the farmer’s market.
No German heritage in my family, but still ended up with the thighs and lack of boobs… go figure!
The skirt looks great on you!
i do often feel like things might be hanging out in other skirts so thanks for the review!
Thanks for the heads up, it’s so nice to find something you love! Making a note of this one for future reference…
Look who’s wearing a skirt! π Looks great!
I’ve never worn a skirt to tun in. But some of the ones that I’ve seen on blogs have certainly made me curious.
You looks super cute in it! π
Sounds like a great skirt. I’d like that longre inseam too! You are right. There isn’t enough glide in the world!
That skirt looks awesome! And it sounds great too :). I love shorts and skirts that are longer.
So funny you should write this b/c I’m wearing my happy hour skirt now! I LOVE THIS SKIRT too. My legs are shorter so it goes almost to my knees but it’s great for walking or just my casual days for playing w/ my kiddo. In fact, SkirtSports makes the best quality everything. LOVE their tops (fastest drying ones I have), capris, skirt/leggings, skirts. Fortunately they have sales often enough that it’s possible to purchase from them plus once you get going, you get free shipping each time for your next purchase!
Ooooh we get to blame the Germans for the hips and thighs? Sweet. I’m blaming them too (I’m half German).
Thanks for posting this review, I may have to give that skirt a try. (When it’s on sale…)
So happy to see a longer one! And I am looking for golf skirts.
I need one of these!! I don’t have a skirt and really want one.. so cute!
I like the extra coverage too. There comes a time when your skirts shouldn’t be too short. However you are right about the price tag: that is one expensive skirt.
But it’s interesting to read that a golf skirt is suitable for running too.
It looks great on you! I thought it would be TOO long, but you prove that it isn’t. Very nice.
OOOO I love this skirt! I was so afraid the longer would be to long but it looks fabulous on you!! Im so going to order. Thank you for this and the laugh about the Gma π
