Skirt Sports Katherine Tank: my new fave

April 28, 2015 by MCM Mama 25 Comments

Today’s topic for Tuesdays on the Run is Favorite Warm Weather Gear or Tips. Patty, April and I are sharing ours. Won’t you share yours?

We all know that I love to run in skirts and my favorite skirt is the Happy Girl, so I’m not going to talk about that item today. After all, I’ve given it plenty of love over the years. Also, I’ve given up my best tips before.  So instead, I’m sharing my new favorite: the Katherine Tank from Skirt Sports.

I LOVE this tank. I actually own a number of non-running shirts in a very similar style, so I knew I was going to love it from the minute I saw it. I was lucky enough to try out the purple tank before it became publicly available and it was totally love at first wear. Never mind that there was still snow on the ground!

The minute they became available I bought the black one as well.  The only thing I don’t like about the Katherine tank is that there are not more colors available.

Features:

  • Super light, moisture wicking, UPF 50 material
  • Cute faux wrap design
  • Fitted through the bust, but semi-fitted through the waist

The best part about this top is it looks just as cute with jeans as with a running skirt. Since one of my ways to minimize when packing for races is to wear my race clothes as street clothes before I race in them, I love that I’ll be able to wear this for casual wear. Add in that it goes with my favorite new skirts and I’m a happy camper!

Spring is here in Virginia. Instead of snow, everything is yellow from the pollen…

With my pale skin, anything that protects from the sun is awesome.

I love that tank! Call me crazy but it looks like you could get away with wearing that with regular clothes too, not just as a workout outfit! Cute cute cute!

Absolutely. It does not really scream “running clothes”.

Those are cute! I have a couple faux wrap shirts for work and I love them. If I had these, I would be tempted to wear them to work too.

It’s nice to finally get to wear the warm weather stuff, but I’m sure I’ll be complaining about heat soon.

I love that tank. The wrap top is so cute and “semi-fitted through the waist” might be this mother runner’s favorite phrase ever in clothing descriptions. 🙂

Yes, it’s a very forgiving cut. I love that.

As I believe you are aware, I ADORE ADORE ADORE this tank! I just ordered the black as well. And I’ve considered ordering a second in the same color so I have a spare if one is in the laundry!!

The top looks great on you! I’m not even convinced it’s spring yet so I haven’t even pulled out the summer gear yet.

I keep having to dig under my bed to find warm weather stuff because I still need the cold weather clothes.

That is a cute tank! I’m not much of a skirt person, but I do love me some nice tank tops! May have to take a look and add to my collection!

That is adorable! What a versatile piece. I love that it doesn’t even look like active wear- so perfect to wear out and about pre-workout!

I do love that it is semi-fitted through the waist. Some tops have to much compression right where I do not want it! They definitely need more colors.

I really love the “flowy” feel to it. It’s so light and comfortable. I’m hoping they come out with more colors of it in the fall.
