This past weekend, I had the opportunity to host one a Skirt Sports Trunk Show. It’s a new thing that Skirt Sports is trying out and I have to say it was a ton of fun.
What’s a Skirt Sports Trunk Show?
Well, Skirt Sports is sending boxes of their merchandise around the country to their Ambassador Captains. The Captains will host events at a location of their choosing. This will allow people outside of the Denver/Boulder area to try things on in person.
The Skirt Sports Trunk included a full run (XS-XXL) of the core pieces and then some mediums of other styles. It had every size of Gym Girl Ultra, Happy Girl, Lotta Breeze Capri, Redemption Capri, Go The Distance Tight, Tough Girl Skirt and the new Wrapsody Skirt/tight combo as well as the new Toasty Collection and the Tough Chick tops. So much stuff!
Because I only had one evening available in the available timeframe, I set up the event as an Open House. Chipotle catered it for me (huge thank you to them for donating all the food!) and people could come and go as they needed.
It was a blast and worked perfectly. My house is small, so having people flowing in and out allowed people to have places to change and space to sit and eat in my living room while we chatted Skirt.
I may have pulled out some of my personal collection so that people could check out the dresses and some of the patterns from last season as well.
Thanks to Skirt Sports and Clif Bar, I was able to send everyone home with a little gift bag (and their own personal shopping list + discount code.) I had a blast and I believe they all did too!
So, if you hear about a Skirt Sports Trunk Show near you, go check it out! I’m an Ambassador and even I found new items that I’d never tried before! And I’m telling you – you NEED the Toasty Cheeks skirt and the Toasty vest in your life.
Oh, heck, you should get the Toasty Tights too.
Now if Virginia weather would just get the message…
Skirt Sports lent me the clothes for the Trunk Show and gave me some small items to give away in exchange for hosting the party. I was not asked to write a post about it. If you’d like to buy Skirt Sports (affiliate link), feel free to use code MCM20 to get 20% off. I do not benefit from your purchase unless you purchase from the affiliate link.
VEST???

The Toasty Cheeks skirt looks so cute! Will definitely have to check it out 🙂 And yes, Virginia weather needs to feeling more fall-like…90 degrees is not fun when it’s almost October!
Sounds like you put on an awesome event!
So fun! I think it’s great that more ladies have the ability to test out our favorite skirts in person.
That sounds like so much fun! While I love shopping online, there’s nothing like actually getting to try on the clothing (and in a fun, social atmosphere!). I’m not sure it ever gets cold enough here for the toasty line, but they sure are cute!
Sounds like it was a fun event. Sorry that I couldn’t stop by – it was a very busy weekend for us.
The skirt and vest look awesome!! I wear a lot of vests in the colder months, I’ll have to check these out 😉
What a great idea! There are some really cute items from places like this, but I tend not to order because I have no idea how they will fit or look in person. I wish more online, specialty retailers would offer something like this.
This sounds like a pretty cool event. It’s always nice to see products in person and be able to try them on!
The home trunk show sounds like a great idea! I haven’t tried anything from Skirt Sports yet, but would like to. Love the look of their stuff.
