I needed to do six miles today to make my goal of 20 miles for the week, otherwise I’d have to run tomorrow. I also wanted to do a speed workout, which makes 6 miles a bit of a stretch.
I ended up doing 4 x half mile repeats at an 8:00 pace with slightly less than a half mile walk/run in between. With my mile warm up and a mile and a half cool down, I managed to do 6 miles in 58:57. I pegged all of the half miles at exactly 4:00, despite running in my hilly neighborhood (gotta love the garmin) and then walked for a short while after each one. I think it was a good pace to choose as I was able to manage it (barely) each time and my legs felt like jello by the time I was completely done. So, with four runs this week, I hit 20 miles and included a hilly run, a long run, speed workout and an easy run. Success!
Now I get to enjoy hanging out in the backyard for a cookout with friends, where we will hopefully finally finish the “holiday” beers we bought in December LOL. Maybe I’ll be back tomorrow with a review for Glaven…
Nice job getting it done and rounding out the week with 20 miles! Enjoy the cookout.
Great job, repeats are never easy. Enjoy your cookout!

Definitely sounds like a successful wee. Great job! Now sit back, relax and enjoy the weekend!
Great variety in your workouts this week! I'm trying to do the same. Great pace too! Especially for a hilly area!
great job hitting the 20!
Good work getting everything in!
Great job on nailing your repeats!!!
uh oh, doesn't look like review was done, but Glaven's been pretty quiet, so maybe you're in luck 🙂 Hope it was a great weekend.
Good job for doing a tempo workout on your own! I always wimp out when I have to do them by myself.
Great job on the weekly 20 and speed/hill workout! Hope those beers were fantastic!
Way to knock out that final 6!
Yes, I read your review in today's post, but reviews of beers that I haven't had some of just make me cry.So congrats on making me cry. You're like Teh 'Bride: You have a real preference for those dark beers, huh? And WAY TO NOT SHARE your porter, sister! I'd've done the same.I realize this comment belongs on your newer post but … whatever. So kill me.
