Today is the last official Friday Five with the DC Trifecta. This is not to say that I’ll never write a Friday Five again (I actually have a few almost finished posts…) or that someone else won’t start hosting a link up. But it does mean that three of my favorite running bloggers will be stepping from the helm. I’ll miss the linkup, but I know these awesome ladies will still be favorite bloggers to read, as well as IRL friends. So, Courtney, Cynthia, and Mar, thanks for hosting. I’m looking forward to reading about your future endeavors and hopefully meeting up with you all again soon.
Since my week has been really rough, I’m not actually going to finish any of the Friday Five topics I have half written. Instead, I’m going to share my top Friday Five running related posts. (My most popular Friday Five post is Five Awesome Things to Do in DC in the Winter.)

Five Dream Race Vacations – I admit I have yet to do any of these races… |

Five Steps for Packing for a Destination Race – I pretty much live this post. In fact, I’ve already targeted some destination races for next spring, starting with Ragnar Trail Richmond. |

Five Tips for Running when You Just Don’t Want To – I have many days when I just don’t want to run, but I always feel better once I’m out there. So, these are my tricks for getting out there.
(And I love that my cat appears in all of my “lazy” photos…) |

Five Lessons Learned at My First Ragnar – I’ve now run a total of 3 Ragnars and I stand by all of these tips. And I’m sure I have more tips – maybe it’s time for another Ragnar post. Or maybe I’ll wait until after I run the trail version… |

Five Favorite Running Hacks – I do need to update one of these. I’ve found that rice crispy treats are even better than gummy bears for fueling. I used them for last year’s MCM and for my 7 half marathons in 7 days and I’ll be using them again for the upcoming MCM. |
Happy Friday, everyone! (And this is totally one of those weeks where it’s TGIF – why are short weeks like that?)
The pic of your cat is too cute! I think we all could use a little motivation to get running sometimes.
Thanks for sharing. I have loved the link up and your posts are always so much fun ! hope your weekend will be better than your week.
Short weeks are always hard for me. I feel like I still have to cram in 5 days of work!
I thought about doing a post of my favorite Friday Fives (I had a terrible week as you will read on my post–tried to keep it as low key as I could)! But I have more than 5…
Sorry to hear about the rough week but hopefully the weekend is better! And cats are perfect for “lazy” photos 🙂
I’m sorry you had a rough week but I’m excited to cheer for you in a couple of weeks at MCM. Thank you for being a great blogging friend and an awesome friend in real life as well. 🙂
I am going to miss the link up too met so many blogger friends through it!
sorry you’ve had a rough week but thanks for this post! You are too sweet and glad we’ve had a chance to meet and hang out a few times. I’m sure there will be plenty more!!
Rice krispie treats — yum! I’ll be fueling with Halloween candy and PROBAR. Lol.
