No, not that kind of streaker. That kind of streaking would only take a few beers worth of convincing.*
No, I can not become a runner who streaks, aka runs every day. Today was supposed to be a rest day. I ran the last three days (one of them twice and all of them pretty fast as that’s how I tolerate treadmill running). Wednesday is normally a rest day, but I had to run today. It was GORGEOUS outside, plus Beer Geek had a meeting tonight, so if I didn’t run during his short time at home, I’d get no break from the kids. And I was at the point that the putting my kids in a crate sounded like a good idea except we only have a cat crate and that would be a really tight fit. (Said cat is named Pete’s Wicked Kitty – any guesses where his name came from? *)
Anyways, I ran a measly, heavy legged 3 miles. I’m glad I did it because it really was nice to be outside by myself, but I’ll probably regret it tomorrow when I run again. I should rest, but it’s supposed to be even nicer tomorrow and I just can’t resist a run on a pretty day (just like I can’t resist a good beer.)*
*See I can mention beer even when I’m not actually talking about drinking LOL.
i need my rest days too, so other than beer-induced streaking, I’m out. lol. Hope you have a great run tomorrow and enjoy the rest when you do take it 🙂
Ha ha! I'm glad you've finally been able to get beer off of your mind. ME time & nice weather is definitely motivating. Just don't hurt yourself!
I know it’s hard to resist the pull of a beautiful day. Yeah – I need my off/cross-train days just to break it up some.
LOL! You named your cat after a beer! I love it.I am not a streaker either. My legs love a good rest day.
Very cool cat name. And you CAN’T put kids in a cat crate? Hmmmmm, I may have to re-think my approach to parenting…
Rest days are needed but so are those breaks from the kids! I can’t resist a beautiful day either.
That’s like three mentions of beer in a short, three-paragraph post. I’m starting to think you have a real problem, sister. You even named your cat after beer, which is INSANE*.You need help, sister. This inexplicable beer obsession is getting out of hand. I’m thinking we should stage an intervention.First step: Better ship all that beer you have to “GQH in Joisey” (that’s all you’ll need; it’ll get here; trust me) so you’re not tempted.I haven’t had a Pete’s Wicked Ale in a long time. I used to love that stuff.Which is fine because I don’t have the beer problem. YOU do.I’m only trying to help, sister.___*The having a cat part, not the naming it after a beer part.
Your drunken blog post is claiming I linked to it again.I did not, though! Give it some coffee and tell it to sleep it off!
LMAO! Ohhh a cat crate is divine! If their smushed in there they won’t be able to flap their lips as much 😛
Why is it always so beautiful on rest days? Oh, well. I have to think there’s a training benefit to the heavy legged runs. Not to mention the mental benefit of escaping the house…
Why does Mother Nature always screw with us like that? Think of it as a bonus day the next time you can’t get out and run.
Count me in the non-streaker (of either persuasion)club. Although it would take cheap white wine, not beer, to coax the fun streaking kind.
I’m definitely a streaker. But not the running kind. :-)And your post has inspired me to crack open my first beer of the day!
I can’t run every day either – but it’s definitely hard to resist on those nice days when you really need a sanity break. Just have to take it easy!
LOL at your cat’s name. That is great.I am not a streaker either.
lol! i wonder how many different beer names you could mention in a post without actually discussing beer. now that would be a challenge.and, i’m glad the cat’s name isn’t something like PBR (not that i think you would drink PBR).
Since starting this P90X thing, I haven’t run as much as I’d like to, and LOVE my rest days. Good for you for getting out…whenever you can!
