A year ago, we were only just beginning to get inklings of what was to come. Coronavirus was just beginning to make the news and the average American had no idea that the country would basically shut down in a month. In fact, my first real understanding came when some of our ZOOMA Bermuda medals got stuck in China because things were shut down there. Despite that, our race weekend in Bermuda was AMAZING and I can't wait to do it again in 2022. ZOOMA Bermuda officially kicked off with a packet pick up at the Fairmont Southhampton. Like many of our events, it was sponsored by Goslings, who provided gift packets with the makings of Dark and Stormies. So tasty! Next up was a trip to the Crystal Caves. We gathered as a group and … [Read more...]
Hiking in St. George’s Bermuda
I wrote this post when we got to Bermuda and then got too busy to finish it. I'll post about the race weekend next, but suffice it to say that the trip was amazing! Bermuda is gorgeous! At one point I was actually begging for snow, just to add something new to break up the month. Ah well, only one more day! I'm joining Marcia, Deb, and Coco for a little coffee and runfessions this morning. If we were having coffee this morning, we'd be sitting in a hotel room together. I am yet again on a college visit, this time to a school that was barely on the radar and is now a front runner. It's a flight (or long ass drive) away from home, so I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I guess all that matters is how Jones feels about it after this weekend. If we were … [Read more...]
