You know how "they" say you can't out-exercise a bad diet? Well, I'm here to tell you it's true. I managed to gain a whole lot of fluff while I was running crazy miles for the five halves in five days. I've managed to keep it on, despite working out more intensely and actually using weights. The problem is not my fitness habits. The problem is what I'm eating: both too much and poor choices. "Hi, I'm MCM Mama and I'm addicted to bread." There. Now you know. While I'm also a big fan of chocolate (and the chocolate stout cake I made this weekend rocked.my.socks.off), bread is the food I have no self control around. It's time to stop the madness. Five random thoughts Friday
I haven't run since the race last Saturday. I have, however, done some form of exercise each day, including a walk yesterday that had 444 steps. My quads should be ready to go for the hill tomorrow (not). I have been averaging a book a day on my iphone. Unfortunately, the amount I read is inversely proportional to the amount I sleep. I'm tired. For those who asked, I use the Overdrive epub app since that's what my library uses. I figure if I run out of books from the library, I'll download the kindle app and peruse the free/cheap books on kindle. I'm too cheap to buy ebooks. Also, the small screen doesn't bother me at all.
