I was so excited when Tall Mom decided to host a virtual Race for the Cure! I think it’s an awesome cause and I’m a big fan of virtual races. Sadly, life got in the way and my plan to do a 10k had to be shelved. The only time I could find to run was 5:30am on Friday morning, which meant taking the 5k option. Those of you who’ve been readers for a while know I’m not a morning person, so I also knew it was going to be a slow race.
I set up my water stop:
Notice the Washington and Oregon glasses in honor
of Tall Mom. The spiderman cup just happened
to be the first cup I found. LOL
Then I put on my timing chip:
My planned “Slow mom on the run” race bib didn’t happen, so I headed to the start line. AKA my treadmill.
You are too funny! Love the timing chip!
I needed that laugh. π
I love her post race spread. That kicks ass!
Awesome race pictures! π I love it.
I am crying that I was not invited to your after party π It looks awesome π
Awesome job on your virtual race:) I love the pictures!! Wow, look at all of those samples of beer!! Was there anything in that mix that you think I would like?I hope that you have a great week!
Fun post π
you're hilarious! great work – I also hate running early. no energy.
Very fun post! Good planning with the glasses!
I don't know which is funnier, the spiderman cup (I tend to use my son's star Wars cup) or your timing chip!
I love your water station! The dinner and drinks look fab!
Nine glasses of recovery – brilliant!
Love that Spiderman cup! So cute!
Just found your blog. I too am a runner with a new 5 month old boy, and my husband and I are obsessed with good brews. So when I saw the pics of the pint glasses, I had to read on! Looking forward to following your blog π
Congrats on your virtual 5K!Love the "water station" and post race celebration!
Ha ha! What a great race report:>
this is hilarious!! I love the water stop!!
Nice job on the race, girl!: )
Love it! Great job on the morning race π And what a way to celebrate a nice 5K!By the way I do wear running specific unders (under armor and moving comfort) but only for longer runs. They are more expensive but make a difference especially as the temps rise!
So cute. Great job on the 5K!
Darn right sister!! LOL!! Love the chip timing…think I will do that for the next one…and give you credit of course. Love the water stop!!!
You're right. We need to have some sort of Richmond/DC running based business … hmmm, I'll be thinking about that one!
