The plan: Take the kids to camp and then hit the gym for 30 minutes of elliptical and lower body weights.
The reality: I could not find parking anywhere near the gym. It’s attached to a middle school, so I think there must have been some sort of back to school thing going on. I considered running, but since I ran the last two days, I wanted to do something else.
Enter BexLife.
I “know” Bex through FitFluential. She’s not only one of the nicest people out there, she’s also got some amazing workouts. I’ve watched a few videos in the past, but I’d be lying if I said I’d ever been up for trying one.
Today I did. Here’s the one I used:
OMGoodness! I did a short warm up of walking my stairs and some “high knees” and then did the above workout. It took me closer to 20 minutes for the actual workout because I needed longer breaks near the end. I combined this with the exercises prescribed by my chiro for a 35 minute workout and when I was done, I could barely walk up the stairs. I’m beginning to understand why HIIT is so popular!
This is what I looked like when I was done. No, that isn’t a shadow on my stomach, that’s sweat.
I’m pretty sure I never have an excuse to not get in a workout again. Thanks, Bex!
Way to squeeze in a high intensity workout!
Awesome! I will have to check those videos out:)
thanks fo rthe share! I will have to try that workout!
That’s awesome!
I LOVE Bex. Like seriously. She is the best. I do have to admit that I had yet to do one of her workouts until 2 wks ago…and it kicked my butt. So awesome.
