Good morning! We are home from our adventures to Chicago and Wisconsin. It’s good to be home, but it was nice to be spoiled for a few days. It was nice for someone else to plan the meals. I don’t mind cooking, but I am not a fan of meal planning LOL. So, today, I’m joining up with my friends Deborah, Coco, and Lynda for a virtual coffee date.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that a month from now I’ll be done with my back to back marathons challenge. This week I will run 15+ and 20 back to back as my last long training runs. It’s a good thing I work for a close friend because I had to tell him that on Thursday and Friday I’ll be running most of the school day and that after the run I’m stupid. I actually read an article somewhere about your body stealing the carbs your brain needs to think and I totally experience the post long run “dumbs”.
If we were having coffee, I’d also tell you that I came home to an awesome package of Skirt Sports goodness. I only have one more Happy Girl skirt to buy and I’ll have the entire spring collection LOL. And the capris are for our Ragnar Cape Cod team. I can’t believe it’s so close now!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I had to cancel my plans to run Rock’n’Roll Raleigh. We just have way too much going on that weekend and as much as I’d love to run the race, I don’t NEED a NC race (already done) and I’m not counting half marathons this year, so it would have just been for fun. I’m going to try to replace it with Philly in the fall, but it’s during soccer and birthday season, so who knows? Don’t forget you can get $15 off of registration using code MCMMamaRuns RNR.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m loving seeing everyone “Rock Your Core”. Great job! Keep up the amazing work! And check out these awesome recipes that Nutrifitmama put together. I can’t wait to try them myself.
