1. I registered myself and my dad for the Army 10 Miler last night. I happened to be on the computer late last night and discovered that when they said April 1, they meant 12:01 am. At this point, less than 24 hours later, 23,000+ of the spots are filled. I know I said I’d never do it again, but my dad really wants to run it and the logistics last year were not as bad as I remembered them being the previous time I ran it.
2. I ran 149.8 miles in March. Yes, that is way more miles than I’ve ever previously run in a single month. Yes, I am kicking myself for not running 0.2 more miles so that I hit 150. Now I feel the need to run 150 for the month of April so that I can say I did it (as I really never expect to run that many again.)
3. For various reasons, not the least of which is that this was a fallback week, I haven’t run a huge amount this week. I’ve done one 4.5 mile and one 6.6 mile run. Both were fairly fast for me right now. I REALLY enjoyed not forcing the mileage and having my legs feel good enough to run fast. I’m looking forward to being done with the marathon and being able to focus on running fast and having fun again. Instead of running, I’ve been focusing on drinking and eating too much. I may need detox soon.
I am sure you ran .2 to get somewhere unclocked at some point during the month!! Really, 150 it is ๐
That's a lot of mileage for one month! Nice job! You'll have fun at ATM with your dad! My only true gripe about that race is the lack of medal. I like my bling!
I think they actually meant "10:15pm the night before" because that's when I registered. Hurrah! And that's an amazing ton of miles for a month (3x what I did…uhhh..I'll go stand in the corner now). You're going to kick some 26.2 butt!
Ur too funny. U ran 150 miles! ๐ I'm sure u added in .2 miles somewhere a long the way. Congrats on hitting ur highest monthly mileage to date!!
I would have been kicking myself too! I was considering running the Army 10 miler … better make up my mind quickly!
holy Miles lady! I was asked by someone today if I was going to run the Army 10…I will just have to see and well see if I can get registered!
Holy miles for the month of March!! Wow, you go girl:) I am just a wee bit jealous but very happy for you!! Nice work!
Wow…that is LOT of miles! AWESOME!!
I was registering for the Army 10 Miler myself about the same time. Best of luck to you and your dad!
Wow that is a huge amount of miles. Nice job!
If you ever start asking 'do I really want to train for a marathon again?' We'll just have to remind you about all the beer you can drink when you're running so many miles. Hope all of the training is going well – sounds like you're going to be more than ready for the race!
Nice job with the mileage…I'm like you, I'd rather save my legs to have some spunky speed than tire them out with too many miles. You're going to have a fun race and I'm happy you got in!
I do need a detox soon ๐ Congrats on the high mileage in March!!!
Wow! Way to go on the mileage! So awesome that you and your Dad race together!
149.8 miles = how many recovery beers?
Great job on the mileage for march! That is awesome!
Wow! Great mileage. I forgot we just ended a month!
Great job on the mileage!
I hear ya about focusing on the training, you know first hand that I was sweating on specific facts for teh half. I can't wait to my second half is over in 4 weeks so I can focus on having fun running again!! Have fun with your DAD!!! Making memories, that's what counts!
That is a lot of miles in one month! That would be a high for me too.
300 miles in 2 months is nuts! Nice job!
great mileage. honestly, do you think your records are truly precise enough that you know for certain that it was 149.8 and not 150.0? Just round up and it's all good.
Congrats on the big mileage for March!I hear ya on the eating and drinking too much. Pretty much went on a 3-day binge. Ooof!
