Three Things Thursday

January 7, 2010 by MCM Mama 16 Comments

1. I still haven’t decided on a marathon. As a planner, this is driving.me.crazy. Seriously.

2. I did a nine mile run on the treadmill yesterday, while watching “In Bruges”. The movie was “meh.” The run started off rough, but ended up being awesome. I did seriously negative splits (46:12 and 42:49). Hopefully that’s my last long indoor run, but I’m not holding my breath.
3. Between planning our Alaska trip, a spring break trip to Mississippi to visit family, and the marathon weekend, my head is about to explode. On the bright side, I love researching stuff and we’ve found a great place to stay in Alaska. On the not so bright side, I’m staying up way too late.
This may be the most boring blog post ever…

I love researching stuff too! Even stupid stuff. I'll stay up way past my bedtime just trying to find out something stupid. The other day it was whether or not "ginormous" was a real word. Lately its been trying to find a kid friendly hotel in Mexico. The internet – love it and hate it 😉

That is a huge negative split! Sounds like you have a lot of fun travel ahead. Have fun finding a marathon! Are looking to stay on the East Coast?

Girl, I'm the same way. I stay up WAY too late on the computer. Art Geek would LOVE to throw my laptop out the window. But, alas, it's a work computer and I think that's the only reason he keeps his hands off it.

Well, it looks like you haven't done a CA marathon…what about the San Diego Rock n Roll marathon in June?

Trip researching is fun and always keeps me up too late. Awesome job on the treadmill run! It is such a mental struggle for me to make it to 30 min most days.

It's so much fun researching trips. I love reading about different races and reading the reviews of other runners. Good luck picking your race and have a great weekend!

I'm with you on being an over planner – it's driving me crazy that my coworker hasn't booked a hotel for the Sedona race in a month! And I'm in awe of 9 miles on the treadmill. Couldn't do it.
