I realized today that there are less than 3 weeks until we leave for my parents’ house. ACK! We’ve decided to celebrate our Christmas here with the boys on December 14th, after Jones’ Christmas pageant at church, so that we don’t have to drag stuff to and from Wisconsin. That means I have exactly 2 weeks until “Christmas”. I’m in pretty good shape with Jones, but I have NOTHING for Shoo. And he’s the one I have with me all the time, so shopping is a bit more difficult.
Besides that, I need to get our cards ordered and update the address list, make the annual picture calendar, get all the gifts for the various “adopt a family” charities we are participating in, get teacher gifts, make cookies, etc. Somehow, December really snuck up on me this year!
To add to the fun, Beer Geek is traveling again this week, so I need to spend my free time running. (Yeah, I have my priorities straight.) I ran for an hour today on the treadmill while Beer Geek and the boys put up the Christmas tree and our obnoxious light up reindeer. (I’ll have to take a picture of it and show you all. People have no trouble finding our house in December LOL) I managed 6.61 miles, so I’m down to 82.7 miles to go…
Awwwwh man! It TOTALLY stinks to try and have to do all the holiday stuff when the man isn’t home. GAH!
Thanksgiving fell a little late this year, so I think Dec snuck up on us all!
snuck up on me too! Good luck! 🙂
I haven’t done anything for Christmas. I’d be in full on panic mode if I had to be done early.
I wait all year for Thanksgiving and Christmas and it passes by so fast!
I can’t believe it’s December either. Good luck with your list!
December totally snuck up on us. Good luck getting everything done. Don’t feel bad, I am in the same boat!Congrats on your PR for the turkey trot, looks like you had an awesome race.
I have so much catching up to do! You’re so going to kill that 1,000 miles.
